Background:
Ing grew up in an orphanage in Kenebras toget(her with his twin brother Ieru. They did everything together though Ing usually was the optimistic one of the two, while Ieru sometimes struggled with darker thoughts. Once they got older they left the orphanage and lived together, taking small jobs to come by and, if the situation left no other choice, they stole some food to survive.
On one of their errants that brought them outside of the city they got captured by a group of cultists. They were brought to an encampment and locked up separately. The next days the cultist slowly starved them and tried to convert them to join their cause. Eventually when Ing was close to hallucination from the lack of food a woman had infiltrated the camp and managed to save him and several other prisoners. When she tried to save Ieru however, he refused to come with her. He said he had seen the light and knew his purpose now. Ing passed out shortly after and woke up in the temple of Desna in Kerebras, vaguely remembering the amulet of Desna the woman was wearing. When he asked around about the woman, the acolytes couldn’t tell him anything useful however.
In the next years Ing trained to become stronger so one day he could go and search for his brother and free him from his dark fate. Not only that, he’ll make sure no one else will have to go through that experience ever again.
Personality:
Ing is a Tiefling from Kenebras and as such has learned to accept his roots rather than hide them. After all there are plenty of Tiefling crusaders. He knows he will need friends to reach his goals as his strengths lay more in stealthy support and information gathering than in getting up close. He’s good-natured and will go through fire for those that have earned his friendship.
Appearance:
For a Tiefling Ing is fairly small and skinny, with an intelligent spark in his eyes. For the rest he looks a bit like this, but less menacing. He wears a sling around his waist and a starknife at his hip.
Plot hooks:
The lady that saved him: she might know more about the whereabouts of Ieru.
The cultists that captured and converted his brother.
Converting his brother.
Freeing other prisoners of cultists (be it the same group or other groups).
Any promising opportunity to bring a major blow to the Demons and their worshippers.
