But he's not a sci-fi or fantasy babe! (Has George played any sci-fi types? None come to mind)

Female Human Fighter 1

Here is the attack and damage from my shot at the bald baddie: Both 6s.

Female Human Fighter 1

When Idiah sees Valtiro leap into melee with the spellcaster, she re-aims her bow on the tall, bald slaver she just shot in the shoulder. There's no point risking the monk's health if she can't get a clean shot.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah, slightly unnerved by her companions falling around her, knocks another arrow and aims at the short, bald spell-caster.

Female Human Fighter 1

The arrow pierces the slaver's robe, and the armour underneath! 6 points of damage.
"If you're going to shoot, shut up and shoot. Don't stand there talking," Idiah smirks.

Female Human Fighter 1

I posted my readied attack in case the men in the cart threatened us; it's on the page preceeding this one. I'd like to know how my attack resolved, or if there is a reason I couldn't take my readied action. As far as Idiah is concerned a verbal threat is still a threat, but I'll abide by the DM's call if you disagree.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah thinks, Oh no! They were lying! She is not about to give up without a fight, though. An arrow already nocked, she shoots at the slaver who is speaking with her shortbow. Attack: 1d20+4=21.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah, still facing the men in the cart, asks, "Arien, do you recognize these monks as brothers of your order?...Arien?"
Is he still with us, or did the bugs eat him? Sense Motive (untrained): 9
Idiah completely believes the monks' story, but she is curious to know if Arien recognizes the monks.

Female Human Fighter 1

Spot check: 13 Do I notice anything out of the ordinary?

Idiah stops scratching and nocks the arrow, not exactly threatening the people in the cart, but not letting down her guard either. She lets Merian be the "face" of the party.

Female Human Fighter 1

*scratch scratch scratch*

This was to the party in general not to those who have not yet reached us and with whom I have lost sight of.

Huh? Do you mean that you're talking to everyone in the party except Kael and Brother Seamus, because they're down the hill at the cave?

Idiah says, "No. Did you find anything?" She scratches at her monstrous bug bites, mirroring Priapus scratching at his poison ivy rashes.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah holsters her axe; she walks over to where she dropped her bow and arrow and picks them up. She is about to return the arrow to her quiver when she sees the cart approaching from near the castle and decides to have the ammo on hand.
Readying action: if the cart-people threaten us, I'll shoot first and ask questions later.

Female Human Fighter 1

"Thank you, Merian. Your prayers really do work miracles!...I don't think that those crawlies managed to poison me, though. I didn't feel any venom when they bit me." Idiah smirks, glad that she kept her cool against the bugs, even when they unnerved the demon-fighter.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah thinks, That's a very catchy tune...Great, now I'll hear it in my head all day.

Female Human Fighter 1

Round 2

The centipedes biting through her boots manage to to strike a vein. Idiah is desanguinating rapidly, feeling her own blood sucked out into the bellies of the rotten-smelling creatures. Ick! (I took 8 pts damage total, so now I'm down to 4 hp!)

Seeing Arien holding out his hand, she decides it's a good idea to try to move away from the swarms, but first she takes another swipe at the bugs.

I rolled another 1. She misses spectacularly again!

Spoiler:

Idiah moves east 30 ft. as a move action. Hopefully that will get her out of range.
Also, anther Fort save and another nausea save:1d20+4=18; 1d20+4=21. It looks like she isn't poisoned or nauseaus.

Round One

Idiah, you may make an attack of opportunity against AC 18 (even though you haven't acted yet this round). The centipedes deal 6 points of damage, and the bites require a Fortitude saving throw, please from Idiah to resist the deadly venom.
Idiah, you need to make a second, different Fortitude save to avoid being overcome with nausea. If you avoid the nausea, you can attack.

Sorry I missed yesterday, I had a class that went late

Fortitude vs. venom: 1d20+4=17. Fort vs. nausea:1d20+4=22; AOO v. bugs=1d20+1=2

Idiah itches as the centipedes bite her assuming she has made her save vs. venom, but the creepy crawlies don't nauseate her at all; she's seen much more disgusting movements from her past life as a camp follower. She swings clumsily at the cawlies with her axe, but fails to hit them -- she's just been distracted by the arrow shot from the trees.
Are we doing penalties for rolling a 1?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah lets out a small gasp when she sees the centipedes emerge from the ground and surround Arien.

Spoiler:

Idiah will move to E3, right besides Arien, to try to defend him from the bugs if she can. She has her bow and arrows out, but she'll drop them as a free action as she moves and then unholster her axe.
I figure the arrows won't be as effective against the swarm as the axe, which I can do bludgeon damage with if I have to.

P.S. thanks for taking charge, Chris!

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah looks towards where Priapus crawled.
She thinks, Is that poison ivy?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah yawns.

"Yawn."

Female Human Fighter 1

There's that voice in my head again! It's telling me to do things.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah contemplates carving her initials into a tree with her arrowhead out of boredom, but decides against it.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah thinks, It's quiet...Too quiet.

Seriously, it is pretty quiet on this msg board. Where is everyone?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah watches Priapus cautiously crawl forward. He's so small he doesn't even NEED to crouch to stay hidden! she thinks.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah thinks about what she's doing and holsters her axe. With the distance between the treeline and the castle open ground, she decides to string her bow and nock an arrow. Now if there is trouble she can shoot from cover, providing more effective aid to Brother Seamus and Kael.

Female Human Fighter 1

What if the raven you spot is just a regular raven? How would you be able to tell?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah grips her axe and waits near the treeline while Kael and Brother Seamus reconnoiter, ready to jump into the fray if there is any trouble.

Female Human Fighter 1
Brother Seamus wrote:
"Alphabetical order."

Or the Ancient Azlanti/Jistka equivalent?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah nods. Keeping her voice down, "The girl said she was being taken to the castle, with other captives. Since all the disappearances and enslaving is happening nearby, we suspect the castle is being used as a base of operations by the slavers."

Female Human Fighter 1

"You mean...disguising ourselves, or lying to get in? Or maybe bribing them to let us in?"
Idiah considers the possibility, but doubts such a plan would work. The people they are tracking are slavers, after all; Priapus' approach might clap them all in irons before he could get out the word "Hello."

Female Human Fighter 1

Arien is the drunkard monk we encountered yesterday, the one Lord High-n-Mighty was making fun of before he was making fun of us.

"Knock on the front door? It sounds like someone knocked on you and made your brains rattle if you think we'll just walk in there!" Idiah whispers to the gnome.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah suggests that the group approach the castle furthest from the standing tower's line of sight.
I'm assuming that, because there was more than one tower, the others were originally built to cover other portions of the castle, and if we pick the ruined ones, it is less likely we'll be attacked from above.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah checks out the intact watch tower, since it is the most likely place they'd put snipers. From this distance do we have a good view?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah moves to the left flank, careful to stay in the shade of the slope as Merian recommended. She has her axe at the ready. She didn't spot anything at the castle, but stays alert: it is likely that enemies are patroling the area.

Female Human Fighter 1

Spot check:1d20+1=10

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah sighs.
"To the castle it is, then."

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah rolls her eyes at Bro Seamus' suggestion.
"Brother Seamus," she sighs. "Giant bats would only come out at night, surely? And they wouldn't think to extinguish the fire." She points to the cold embers that Merian just pointed out.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah joins Merian in the search for our missing compadres. Searching the area, Idiah observes the obvious, but can't see the gnome and monk for the trees.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah gets her gear, then retrieves her axe, nice and sharp, from the cook and thanks him for his work. She decides to wear her mail, remembering the arrow she took on the road and not wanting a repeat of that ambush, although now that she will be traveling with companions she is less worried about being caught unaware.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah frowns at Brother Seamus and Merian's different approaches to the quest; hopefully they'll be able to work together on whatever plan eventually evolves. Then she speaks up. "I agree with Kael. We should get supplies and then hike out to where Priapus and Val are. They might know stuff we don't and will make our options clearer. The sooner we start out, the better. The more we delay, the more chance the slavers have to get away or get word from the traitor in town."

Female Human Fighter 1

"With so many foes to contend, it were best if we plan some distraction, and ambush them. Brother Seamus, you know the terrain best, do you think an ambush possible? I'm not so familiar with underground."

Female Human Fighter 1

Maybe he was being Ironic?

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah is concerned about being locked in, but she understands the need for secrecy. She crosses her arms, wondering if the cook is sharpening her axe carefully, feeling more vulnerable without it on her. At least she knows she can trust the people around her...she hopes.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah is curious about what Lady Chauntessa is reading. She has never seen anyone reading a book at breakfast before. She tries to see what the book is without getting too close to disturb her hostess. Can I see if it is a spellbook, or the mundane kind?

?A certain Archaic Chameleon?

Awesome. I haven't seen "The Last Unicorn" in years. The arcahic chameleon is Brother Seamus. Because he uses archaic speech and can blend into his surroundings like a chameleon.

Female Human Fighter 1

*Smiles* Cooking eggs and singing campfire songs while on recon? I have a feeling a certain archaic chameleon would disaprove.

Also, the last line of the middle stanza, is a fifth line repeating part of the line above it, but the other stanzas are all four lines. You could easily add a fifth line to the other stanzas while only slightly modifying the wording of the repetitions. If you'd want to. It's a cute song.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah awakes at dawn.
*Yawns* *Stretches*
She goes through her morning exercises carefully, holding the stretches and not skipping the one-handed push-ups. She wants to be in good shape for the battles to come. By the time she is done, morning light is pouring through the window.
Her stomach gurgles. She thinks, When's breakfast around here? as she dresses. Before she leaves she makes sure that her weapons are in good order and peace-bound. Maybe the cook can whet the axe blade for her while she eats, to save time.

Female Human Fighter 1

"zzz...*huh?* Uuugh."
Idiah wakes up from her nightmare, her limbs cold and shaking. Shadows, good beings, powerful enemies taking them down... She's had worse dreams, especially the one where she is back at the Golden Erinyes, about to be punished by Sister Sanguina, but somehow this dream seems different. It's almost as if it were trying to tell her something and not just stirring up memories of a nightmare past.
She hits the pillow a few times to get out her adrenaline, then tries to go back to sleep.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah:
"grumblegrumble....zzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*snort*...zzz"

Female Human Fighter 1

Back at the inn, Idiah sulks in her room, grumbling.
"-stupid armor, making me all loud and clanky so they won't take me along, well who needs scouts anyway? gonna just go bash those slavers in the head so who needs to be all la de da scoutin' around like ooh 'I'm a fancy-pants chameleon-man'...etc."
She actually does understand the need for reconissance, but her impulsive nature chafes at having to sit still when there is danger to confront.

Female Human Fighter 1

Idiah nods her agreement.
"My flails are at your service," she tells Chauntessa.
She smiles at Priapus, "And after all, I need to make sure I have an opportunity to pay off that debt I owe you. If you're going to risk your life, I want to be around to help save it."
