Ice Eyes tries to keep her gut in check as the stench of death and decay overwhelms her. SHe manages it for a while, but a particularly strong gust of wind blows the smell in her face and she isn't able to stomach it any more. The young hunter drops her bow and runs for someplace that she can toss her cookies in semi-privacy. After about a minute, she comes back, pale as death and visibly shaken. "Th-this must be hell..."

"R-right." Already on edge from the events of previous weeks, Ice Eyes is twitchy, very twitchy, as she nocks an arrow. She doesn't seem to be hearing what Lem, or anyone else is saying as she scans her surroundings with a wary eye. Ready action to loose an arrow at anything that pops up its head.

Gardsin and Krular or Perception DC 15:
"I don't like the way he's looking at me. It's like when a-a half-starved mountain cat sees you." Ice's grip on her bow tightens and she tries to hide behind the two larger men while keeping line of sight with the other men who were looking at her. I don't like it at all.

Ice Eyes sees him scurrying around the wagon and sighs. Her employer was probably wrecking the tracks she'd need to find out anything. Still, she was under his employment until further notice. He said find the crate, find it she would. Survival to track any clear footprints: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Ice didn't sleep well, and gets a late start that morning, After getting dressed she spends most of her time looking over her equipment to make sure that she was ready to go. She looked at the ribbon Lem had gotten for her, wondering why someone would go out of their way to give something to someone they barely knew. She shrugs and ties her hair back with it. When the soldier comes to take those going to the rite, she hides. Not wanting to see or hear a man die in a pyre. Gerald's predicament, though, snaps her out of her fearful mood. "I didn't see any red crates. Was it still on the cart last night?"

Two things quickly become apparent about Ice Eyes right before and during the dinner. The first is that when she takes the time, she cleans up nicely. Her new clothes are a little richer and more finely detailed than what she's used to, and her new boots shine in the light. All in all, if it wasn't for her taciturn personality, she'd be a rather pleasant girl. The second is she is very socially awkward. Her cheeks gradually grew pinker and pinker as the dinner wore on. The multitude of utensils, the way she was expected to eat daintily, and the procedures and protocols of such a meal were all foreign to her, and her embarrassment only increased as Lem began singing her praises. Perception DC 20:
"I'm just a hunter trying to survive." By this point she's bright red and has remained mostly silent, just quietly thanking the servants who helped her muddle through which fork to use when. I'm guessing Lem got the clothes to her before heading off to the Mother and her son? Otherwise, Ice may have to borrow some clothes.

Ice looks at the ribbons then the halfling. "Uh, t-thank you. I guess your right." She looks at her clothes and fishes out some coins from her pack. "Can you grab a nice set of clothing for me? I don't think these will be dry in time, and they are more suited to hunting than dinner parties. You can keep what you don't use." Ice Eyes hands over the coin and waits for Lem to leave while looking for something to wrap herself. She bathes and washes her clothing before drying off and wrapping herself in a blanket. @ Lem: Sorry I wasn't paying attention to the posts, Hopefully you and Trup don't mind a little retcon. Ice gave you 15 gp to get clothes.

Ice doesn't say anything, just follows the others to their quarters. She finds a bed in the corner and curls up as tight as she can get. When Lem asks about the corruption, Ice only has one thing to say. "It's not natural, is it?"

Ice climbs up into the wagon next to her employer. She keeps an eye out, but can't keep her gaze from lingering on the man that seems to be healed of whatever malady was afflicting him. Ready

Ice doesn't trust the man. Wild animals she understood. This was magic and bad magic at that. She finds Gerald alone right before they move out and asks him. "Is there enough room for me to ride with you? I don't like the feeling I've got, and someone should be with you to watch your back." And yes she is a bit paranoid about the man that seems to be perfectly fine now.

"If, if he's turnin' into, that, I don't wanna be near him." Finally remembering her employer, she shakily walks over to him and follows Malwyn's question with a brief apology. "S-sorry if you got hurt. I'm- I'm not used to dealing with things like that."

As the adrenaline rush wears off, Ice clutches her leg where the acid burned through her clothing and into her skin, hissing through her teeth all the while. After making sure she could walk on it, she jumps down, just in time to toss her cookies into the underbrush. "Th-those were corrupted?"

"Heh hehe." Ice's eye twitches a little as more of them burst out into the clearing. It seems like the poor little hunter is about to go as crazy as Krular as she fires again, this time at the big one. Same deal as last time, Point Blank and Deadly aim in effect.

What are these things? Ice hesitates as the creatures burst into the clearing and attack. By the time she reacts, all of the creatures were in melee with the others. Fortunately, she was a really good shot. Actions: loose the arrows of pointy death. Deadly aim and Point Blank on the closest one.

Ice Doesn't speak, she instead deftly, and quickly climbs the crates and stands next to Malwyn. Readies to turn anything hostile into a pincushion "Please tell me there's only one of these things and it's just really, really loud." |
