Personality
Ianaga is all easy smiles and charming conversation. Her laughter disarms the most grumpy people, and her panache when fighting earns her admiration and applause. She would make a fabulous gladiator, beloved of the masses, but this is not what Ianaga was meant to be. She was meant to be an actress. Her true personality is layered far beneath her many different aspects of charm and charisma, and is yet to be discovered. For what it's worth, she is very easy to have around.
Appearance
Of average height, at a mere 5'6", Ianaga stands out as soon as she looks at someone and smiles. She is no astounding beauty, but she knows how to accent what's been given to her. Her hair is brown, without curls, cut short so that it curls around her neck. Her high cheekbones draw the eye because she likes to paint intricate designs on them, in various colors, always with a matching scarf worn with her always exquisitely fashionable outfit. Her eyes are a deep blue, and a smattering of freckles is on her nose. Her voice is melodic, and sometimes she sounds like an actor from an heroic play. She wears no armor, and never goes without her jeweled rapier worn on the left, and her verred worn on the right, her cloak billowing in the breeze. She has perfect posture, and she knows it.
Background
It takes luck, to not be born a slave in Uxphon. Ianaga was that lucky. Her family has offered retainers to the noble house of Ricci as long as their family history runs. Servants, scribes, cooks, guards, spies, the list is long. Ianaga's parents died young, in an unfortunate accident. Engineers in the Ricci household, they were to check why one of the family's pipes was no longer providing any heat. The pair, both very gifted with cyphers and technology, managed to fix the pipe, but paid the price of a scalding death. Since then, Ianaga has a fear of the hot pipes and any kind of burn (which one glance at her third degree burnt mother caused to leave lasting trauma).
After the unfortunate death, the 6-year old Ianaga was sent off to her uncle Werther, who was running an incredibly successful theater for the Ricci family. Werther was staging very popular heroic plays that drew the rich and powerful to the theater most nights. Ianaga always watched with great enthusiasm and helped around the stage as much as she could. It was here that she learned mock fighting and all the components of fighting with great panache. It was where her uncle gave her a solid education in being personable and pleasant, and how to disguise herself. Her uncle would have loved to have her on as actress, but Count Ricci had other plans, once he took note of the girl. He had valued her parents and watched her. As she combined skills he was looking for, he made sure that she received glaive training from his best guard, Atalan. He taught her the basics, and she added her own flourishes.
Her training now complete, Ianaga is to be a spy for Count Ricci. Easy to get to places with her charms and disguises, strong enough to hold her own in a fight, fast and hopefully smart enough to be an effective spy.

As a result, the user moves one step up the damage track for ten minutes. This is a temporary effect that doesn’t change the status of her Pools. If she is hale (or becomes hale), the device has no effect.
