Background spiel:
Iago was born in the Turmish Capital of Alaghôn to a Merchant family. He was chosen to become an acolyte of Amaunator at a young age and was cloistered in the temple from the age of nine. When he came of age at sixteen he demonstrated sufficient promise and became imbued with the power of the god Amaunator (or Lathander). He was able to call on the divine power to heal, harm or protect those around him. His mentor, Junella, selected him from a group of initiates to become a Crusader and was trained in history, investigation and perception. Junella taught him the secrets of the faith and set him on a quest to locate a relic ‘Espiridon’s Star’ of the Amaunatorian faith
For years he travelled in search of the star but found no sign of it and returned to Alaghôn. Junella released him from his hermitage to continue his life of travel but he bore the failure of his quest and seeks a way to demonstrate his worth to Junella

6’3”, 210lbs, dark mahogany skin, dark brown eyes. Iago cuts his short beard square and adorns his face each morning with three thin horizontal lines of ochre. His chainmail is adorned with semi-precious stones and he takes great care in ensuring that all his possessions are clean and that he is well presented in typical Turmish style. He wears a shield on his left arm that represents the star of Amaunator, his deity, and he wears the same smaller holy symbol from his neck. He is outfitted for travel in the wilds
