That's a nice question Asmo-Adv!
Now if i choose "slavery is right", my PC will be more Evil oriented.
If i choose "the law is the law", my PC will be more Legal oriented.
Am i right?

Right, short and focused explanation, thank you very much!
I wanna definitely build up this character!!

Now i'm not sure about the class that better fits my character.
Cavalier, Fighter or some other.

I love Lannisters btw!
Anyway thanks guys since this is exactly what i was looking for!
Now i've a question regard the "lawful" part of the alignment: when you say you follow the laws those are intended to be laws of where you belong or laws of every city you come across? For sample, lets say you come from Cheliax, where slavery is pretty legal, as bribe is. And then you go in a city with the party where those are not allowed. Which law do you follow exactly?

Wow awesome Obscure citations thanks very much!!
Are there some others?

@Moonclanger got it, understood finally :D!
Lets consider my PC is a Lawful Evil Cavalier, with his own code.
What should i put in?

You mean select just some from the list right?

So, this is a sample of a code, taken from your link:
A code of conduct for a lawful evil organization may look like this:

1. You shall not lie.

2. You shall harm the innocent to advance yourself or promote order.

3. You shall kill to advance yourself or promote order.

4. You shall not aid the weak.

5. You shall honor legitimate authority that promotes you and your comrades.

6. You shall follow the law.

7. You shall not betray others.

8. You shall not aid criminals or those who protect the weak.

9. You shall use the law to advance yourself and your comrades.

10. You shall seek unlimited power over others and unlimited order in society.

Any advice on something missing, something that should be changed?

Nice one thank you!!

I'm more focused right now on the own moral code, which i can't really figure out.

@Derklord: I've successfully played a NE character in a good aligned party, currently i'm playing a CE character in a Neutral one.

Now, first evil? Nah. First Legal, yeah.
When i ask for motivations moving him to that side is simply to not emulate my NE character.

Since the NE PC was pretty moved by money, i prefer this time doing something more complex, a PC who follows the most his moral code.

Got it. Now: Does antipaladin favour me if we're going to run a classic campaign good vs evil?
The fact is the GM didn't pronounce about, this isn't an evil campaign, so i'm wondering if antipaladin could be the right choice.

Now, i could use some help defining the mentality of the PC as written above:
- Which goals he wants to achieve?
- Which vision of the world does he have, and how he wants it to be?

@Derklord what about the LE alignment tho? does it work with that pala-archetype?

Well Cavalier or Swashbuckler, i need some help on creating his own motivations, here's some stuff i'm sure about:

-He doesn't harm childrens (of whatever race they are), not directly at least
-He love to gift the most poor childrens with little statues created by himself and rappresenting himself (Toys)
-He always respect the word he gave

Some other ideas?

Yeah me too.. i didn't really mean Cavalier, i mean someone with a code of honor like they have

Thanks all of you!
I got some time to think while i was at work and i came up with this:

- He's gonna be Gnome or Halfling
- I can either go Swashbuckler or also against the type (i'm not scared) as Sir Belmont was suggesting
- He will probably fit an LN/LE alignment, i'm thinking of him as some kind of cavalier

@I asked for archetypes since was a nice question i couldn't answer, lets see!

Could use some help here, any ideas?

Campaign: starting at level 1, BP 20 points, Races Only Core Rulebook, Classes Core, Base, Alternate and Hybrid

I would love to play a small race, probably Gnome

Hi there!
Is there a way to combine Gunslinger with the debuffing of a witch? Let me explain better: i mean as a Gunslinger is there a way of using Witch spells while you shoot?

Okk, i was looking for a roguish char, but now things have changed 'cause the GM said we don't actually need it: means we could have not in the party, but also means that someone else definite his char and so this is the situation

-Human Paladin
-Human Alchemist [Mindchemist] (Mr. Knowledge Man)
-X Sorcerer(Or Wizard) that will go in Arcane Trickster
-Unknown
-Unknown
-Me finally free 100% to choose

So here i am, looking for advice on what to play; i want to say i will not play: Ranger(or arch of that), just because i don't like that class.

First "classes"(maybe i should say "roles" or "playing styles" i was thinking of:
- Enchantement-Bender (which class better to do so? I'm lost with that)
- Invocation-Bender (maybe sorcerer?)
- Witch
- Magus (I read about Kingmaker in a post on the forum and seems most of encounters are in open field...does that make the magus a non-worth choice?)

I'm completely open to other ideas, and i'm really in your hands (Yes, yours willing mate!)

I was wondering about uses of Enchantement spells... like charm person, suggestion etc... well i'm not asking how to use those spells, but some examples of uses...some words to use in some situation...just to have an idea on what i can do if i choose that path :D

lets definite "the dip" :3 how many levels should i "waste" in?

Archelogist seems nice, btw i dont need to take "the face role" (we've a paladin, think he will do that) nor take "the acknowledged man" (alchemist is focusing there...i dont want to steal his role, i'm not that kind of player)

thanks again for advices, things are becoming more clear in my mind about my PC.

I saw you always mention wizard, and i'm almost pretty sure that i can do the same with Witch, Summoner, Cleric, Sorcerer and Oracle, but what about the Magus? Is there a way to do the Roguish-Job with that class?

nice advices, i really appreciated those!

nice idea matthew, i could play a caster-like PC, but will i be pretty sure that my magic will disable almost any kind of trap?

okk i read more on "Roguish Qualities" just to be aknowledged on what makes rogue so essential...

I found a thread here on the forum where the rogue is valuated kinda unuseful, so i surfed the web and found more about traps: magic traps could be disabled only with a disable device check from a character able to find traps...
so which classes have that quality? Is it possible to get that quality using the spell for trapfinding? If yes then i should consider all classes being able to use magic device (just buying the scroll of that spell) am i right?

thanks for the advice, i will look into asking this! I forgot GM allowed us only on:

-CORE RULEBOOK
-ADVANCED PLAYER'S GUIDE
-ULTIMATE COMBAT
-ULTIMATE MAGIC

:(

Hi there! I've just registered (found this forum really interesting, and people writing on it really aknowledged [i think i'm doing some synthax mistakes, am sorry, i'm italian T_T]) and i come out with an help request :D!!

I'm just starting to play Kingmaker (Campaign will start tomorrow), and we're 6 players:

- Human Paladin
- Human Alchemist (more focused on knowledge skills)
- Unknown Character (probably a caster)
- Unknown Character
- Unknown Character
- Me

The GM was looking for a roguish character (to find traps and unlock locked doors lol) so i proposed (my bad, i know...never played rogue) to do so.

Now, i didnt want to play "the classic rogue" (i call classic rogue, the rogue my mates always play), but was thinking on using dirty trick, steal (maybe with a whip?), or something non-classic, but still being useful(here comes the hardest...i'm not able to create a character without being unuseful :S).

So i hope someone could help creating a "Roguish Character" (That doesn't means rogue, i'm open on suggestions) if possible also useful.

Level Start is 1, and i've not decided the race (so no matter which).

Thanks in advance to who will help!
