So I have a bit of a strange question. What is the result of a lycanthrope in animal form mating with an ordinary animal of its type? What spurred this question was a recent werewolf character of mine. In his backstory, he spent a number of years in wolf form living in the wilderness as the alpha male of a pack of wolves. I'm assuming he sired at least a couple of wolf pups in that time and now I'm wondering if there might be some werewolf children of his that might track him down (for good or ill) or if he merely expanded the local wolf population by a little bit. I know there are probably no rules anywhere that would cover this kind of scenario, I'm just looking for people's opinions. My personal opinion is that either lycanthropes don't breed true unless it is with other lycanthropes (thus creating natural lycanthropes) or a half-lycanthrope could exist, which would conceivably be an afflicted lycanthrope from a game mechanics stand point (abilities like DR are watered down from a natural lycanthrope's). Jeez, fantasy role-playing games can spawn the oddest questions!
