Hutch perks up. If he could slay this dragon he could prove his strength. It could also mean a better way too kill the leader of the Chill. Crush him to death with a stuffed dragon head. The thought almost made the grim mercenary laugh. You up for killing a dragon Sophie? He said with a crazy look in his eye and a wide grin. I hear they can be delicious if cooked in their own juices over a low fire. Or is that pigs. Either way it could be good food for the new mercenary group. With that he picked up his Halberd and started off to the top of the keep. FOR DRAGON STAKE!!! he screamed out, forgetting his composure in the mad rush for more power. This may seem out of character, but how many warriors get to say they murdered a dragon and ate it. The fear that would inspire alone and the story that he ate it while it was living could pass if people got drunk enough. And lets be honest this town is going to need to see AA after dealing with this party and invasion

It went longer than expected. Seemed to last for weeks. I think we need to get paid more at the end of this. Unless we can spill more of their sorry blood. Hutch said with a smile. Its nothing we couldn't handle. Right Sophie? He asked without a thought. How is the search for a man to stuff that Drakes Head going?

In a class on the phone but this is too good to pass up. *insert snarky remark to Zillyana implying that Hutch knew that Sophie wouldn't die. Followed by a reply to Sophie that somehow belittles other men and somehow is similar to an overly manly man meme*

short rest: 2d10 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8 Hutch smiles as he dusts himself off. Sophie was up before you elf, and I would never ask her to do anything since she seems to be able to deal with stuff on her own. Right Soph?

Hutch, unable to see the Drake, approaches Zilly, dark power forming around his hand. He scowls and places his hand on her forehead, the power running into her. healing 4 points with Lay on Hands Get up soldier. Sleep on the job and I dock your share of our profits. Hutch says as his unholy power heals her.

You are mine Kobold! Hutch growls, attacking again. I don't know if I can keep taking such a beating. But It can't kill me if it is dead. halberd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
If this doesn't kill it I call for grabbing Sophie and Zilly followed by a tactical withdrawl, and bringing in all the fire starter to actually burn down the mill.

Don't let the DM know XD. But I have to admit I have been holding out. I should still have a potion of healing plus my 10 go of lay on hands. If Sophie and Zilly can hold on for a bit they should be fine. Granted if we go down.... Seeing the elf go down reignited his blood. I won't loose Sophie again, and I won't let my allies die. I don't know if the gods care, but if Evendurs God decides to help out I can fill his kingdom with two more kobolds. Bellowing a series of enraged giberish, he lashes out at the kobold closest to his wife and new soldier. halberd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 The might of Kelemvor :p What am I thinking. Damn the gods they won't take Sophie from me again! He follows it up with a quick spin bringing the butt of the weapon to the other kobolds jaw, striking with unholy power.butt end halberd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 crit damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4divine smite : 2d8 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7crit divine smite : 2d8 ⇒ (7, 2) = 9 Does 23 damage kill the kobold? :p

Seeing the Kobold stab Sophie, Hutch lets out an unearthly cry. He swings at the Kobold in rage, calling upon unholy might. Halberd: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7damage+ smite: 1d10 + 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (10) + (4) + 2 = 16. Hutch glares at the Kobolds. Listen to Frilly, you horrible tasting lizards he says, moving towards one. Spinning his Halberd blade first, Hutch strikes at the closest kobold to him, his anger leading his strike to new heights. That entire squad was to spread disinformation. If it weren't for Frilly wishing to save some villagers, I would have just attacked. But yes, from now on anything that comes at us will die. Hutch replied softly. Frilly! Hutch called out. Lets be on the lookout for this Cyanwrath fellow. He sounds important, so I want to kill him! Hutch checks the body of the man with the weird mask for loot. This mask looks nice

Thank you Ven- frilly Hutch says in a strained, though highly respectful tone. If he hadnt made that call, my plans for vengance would have failed. But I cant show weakness Sophie, you and I steper into the battlefield wanting blood. Letting this kobold love could give us enough blood to draw up a bath. He whislers.

I want them to send more. Divert more of their army to us. We take this location and kill everyone who comes. Besides this is already a trap. I won't be suprised if that fleeing Kobold ends up ruining their plans. The more of them we kill here, the less that will be around after they leave. Hutch replies. I may not understand your magic, but I have been using fear since I left the temple of Helm. That fleeing Kobold is more likely to ruin any traps they set up. Besides, we have one of our own that Frilly here got to join us. This army sends more cultists the more fodder we can have in our ranks. My Infernal Lady, fear is not just magic based. It is in almost every living being. We can rob these cultists of some of their allies. They spent money on mercenaries who would flee with their pay rather than fight a battle they would die in. Hutch goes on. Frilly and I even met a group of such men. Sure there are plenty of cultists, but I would guess the number of mercenaries and kobolds is far larger. We take that away, and they feel fear. You are right, one man cannot take on an army, and that is my plan, to gather one. We don't need to keep the cooks alive, I can still cook better than most. I guess my time in the church of Helm May have taught me some useful leassons. It is a shame the altar was set on fire as I left. Hutch chuckles. We haven't gone over why this attack happened, but I would guess they are simply raiding for money. Sophie if we kill more of them now, we can track them on their retreat, with more than our current group and hit them hard. Return most of what we get and keep the rest. I think you may need a few more things after all. You have a point about Grim. We should secure the mill and get into a better possion as Grim and I are correct about an ambush on its way. Hutch says quietly so only Sophie can here. The more people who die here the more money we can take from them. The closer we will be to killing the Chill.

Hutch watches as Sophie blasts another of the Kobolds, then runs towards her Dash action to move there, can't get to roll20 atm will update the map when I can Sophie, nice shot, but one should get away. Let it spread fear among our enemies, let them send more, and let some simply escape. The more they fear us the more enemies we get to kill. Maybe if they are smart they will all simply choose to run away. Either way we win. Let them run, and we will chase them down in the end. The kills will be even sweeter knowing they fear us. Hutch says with a dark smile. Besides, I am sure this is a trap. We should take the mill and be prepared for another wave of dead men, and women, though I don't know if these cultists are either. They die way to quickly.

He gives a look to the remaining Kobolds. This is your last chance to join me! He Bellows, not caring that they do not under stand him. What ever happened to our Kobold? If we need fodder--- I mean members for the Drakes Fang a group of them would be good.

Hutch smiles as the arrogant cultist falls dead. He moves himself ten feet away from two Kobolds and gives them an evil grin. I have to ask, because the last one didn't tell me anything, is there any way to cook you lizards that wont make me sick to my stomach? Or will I just have to deal with it! I just picture Hutch walking forward, looking around. Plus I think we are far enough away from the ranged group now that you may not hear the conversation. :P Hutch won't leave his new Mercenary Companies priest on his own. Especially not after he went down :P Just a general look to see if anyone seems to be in hiding.

Hutch readies his halberd, looking around for any hiding reserves. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 I'm going to look for any other foes. They will bleed for trying to trick us. A good trap is one we never expect. Especially with a Dragon around - - Just being careful Hutch laughs. You are right. Priest let us get in closer. Sophie, let's be smart and time this together. The quicker we kill them the better On my phone, so can't acess roll20 atm, but Hutch will move as close as he can

This feels like a trap and I want a bit more info before Hutch goes for them. I understand what you mean Sophie, but there is a lot we don't know about this situation. We should try to be careful. A well timed strike is more effective than just blasting at them. If they fear us they are more likely to make mistakes and that is what We should want. Besides, it is no fun if you get kills and I don't.

Hitch looks at the two bickering, and sighs loudly. The priest is right. And I doubt we could bluff our way in this time. I would be more than happy to charge in, kill them and take thebuilding. Use their blood to paint on their cloaks and use them as flags. Or we find sticks to place their heads on. Or just kill them, and any others who dare approach. How is bad is the fire and can we tell what the building is made of. From your original description it doesn't appear to be that burnt, and with the last fight and the time it took to get here, I figured it would have been pretty decently on fire

Of course Sophie Hutch says with a smile. He cleans his Halberd and walks up to Sophie, and inspects the corpses. He grabs a handful of coins from the corpses, then sighs, ready to go. More to kill atleast, he says to Sophie. stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Hutch laughs darkly as the remain foes flee. Should have grabbed a ranged weapon, he says to himself. He pulls two teeth from the Lizard, and puts one in his belt pouch. Got you a trophy my lady! Hutch calls with a chuckle. These things didn't put up as much fight as I thought they would. Hutch then looks at Evendur. You alright priest? It seems your god doesn't want you yet, though I imagine that bite was painful.

Sophie, would ya like a trophy from this fight?! Hutch called out with a dark laugh. It feels like time stopped for a while, then again I do get distracted easily in combat so who knows how long I have actually been at this Hutch spins his Halberd around as if stretching out his muscles, battling at the lizard with the blade and the butt of his weapon. Halberd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Anyone else think that Lizard stake would be delicious :P Butt End of Halberd: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
