Hi Pathfinder People,

The books says that "for most spell casting characters [caster level] is equal to her class level in the class she's using to cast the spell." If this is "mostly" the case, what are the exceptions for which it is not true? I have heard that some feats (not sure which) allow a multi-class caster to use all their character levels as caster levels.

However, I have also been wondering if caster levels on similar classes might work together. For example, might a magus, who dipped into wizard for one level, add one to his magus caster level? After all, a magus is essentially a wizard crossed with a fighter (i'm not suggesting it naturally go the other way). What about a Paladin who took a level as a cleric (after the -3 thing, and all that)? Thank you all for your input on this question :)
