Recently found out that Arcane Cascade has been errata'ed that it must be activated in the same turn as casting a spell. That changes strategies quite a bit. Hui Kong feels a wave of unnatural fear gripping him, but he fights on, raising his staff to send a blast of freezing cold at Fasiel.

![]() Oh forgot about the damage. During some lull, Hui Kong concentrates briefly, summoning some divine energy source within to heal his wounds. (Lay on Hands, healing 12HP each time. I assume there would be enough time to recover his focus points repeatedly? If so, he won't touch the healing potions.) ![]() Doh, totally forgot about healing up after last combat. Hui Kong has Lay on Hands. Would there have been enough time to heal up Hui Kong before this? Each LoH heals 6hp. Again, Hui Kong sets his staff spinning as he steps through the door. He starts chanting a spell, activating a blue gem on his staff which encrusts his staff with frost. Hui Kong takes a moment to focus within while keeping his staff twirling in the air, pulling forth his magic to once again infuse his attack. He summons vicious claws to sprout from his staff and slams it down upon the final pirate. ![]() A summoned creature can cast spells of lower level than the spell that summoned it, not the level of the summoned creature. That doesn’t fix that though because RAW a L2 summon fey can only summon L1 creatures, ie can’t summon a nyktera. Still summon fey is good in letting you cast one higher level spell to get back many lower level spells, including cantrips. ![]()

Twisting Tree hybrid studies effectively lets him change from 1H and 2H as free actions.
