Born: Cassomir, Taldor
- bastard son of a honest but simple cleaning woman and a callous nobleman who did little to provide for him or his mother. His resulting difficult childhood has caused him to resent and regard nobility with distrust until they provide strong evidence otherwise.
- As he was a tall boy and Taldor desperate for soldiers, easy to lie about his age and joined the Taldor army at 14.
- Participated in a number of campaigns amongst several internal and external enemies of Taldor, most of with Qadira.
- When he was 19 he was captured in a battle and spent 20 months in a harsh Qadira prisoner of war camp but he managed to escape and find his way back to Taldor. He would have given up hope, had Iomedae not spoken to him and caused him to embrace her wisdom. Over time this bond grew and he became a paladin of her order.
- Spent another year in the Taldor military but that came to an abrupt enemy when their unit was sent to brutally put down an uprising in the North. His commanding officer gave the order to loot and burn a village that was only suspected of helping the rebels. Horatio and 4 others decided they could not do this heinous act and slew the commander, forcing the other men in the unit from the village. Although, sadly, the army returned later and finished the job.
- Knowing they were now traitors to the Taldor crown, the 5 soldiers made stealthifully made their way to the border and then split up. Horatio keeps in loose contact with some of his brothers and their paths occaisonally cross.
- Horatio has kept a low profile, travelling away from Taldor and working as an armor-smith's apprentice to earn gold to live. Recently he has stopped for a few months in Absalom (the immense size of the city gives him some comfort he can stay hidden) and has been recruited by the Andorans in their cause.
