From your feat selection I would never have guessed that he was at all viking in any respect.

I can understand that, it was more his background story than anything that described him as a Fighter from a Sailing/Fighting/Merchant Society from the Far North.

Be aware that being Half-janni and from a janni bloodline are two entirely different things.
As a half Janni your father or mother is a full janni.
Descending from a janni bloodline means there can be a janni among your grand parents or even a dozen generations removed.

Yes, I only picked up the Qadira book yesterday and am trying to learn what this might mean for my character and for the game balance, when I talk to my DM, I want to do so from an informed standpoint. He said Half-janni, but looking at the racial boosts this is a huge difference from what he was.

Actually YOU should not do anything. It is your GM who has to tell you the effect of your heritage. How it modifies your character if at all.
If you are of a janni bloodline it does not necesarily have any effect upon your character.
If you are an actual half janni the implications are huge and it can fundamentally throw the balance of your character, especially compared to the other players unless they as well are enhanced in a similarly dramatic fashion.
In all honesty what you are describing sounds very poorly thought through by your GM and I advice that you consult what exactly is going to happen with your character at this stage.

Agreed. This is why I'm coming here to hopefully get more information on how this could affect my character so that after this holiday, I can get together with my DM and discuss what this means to the campaign and everything. I realize that it is up to my DM's discretion on what he wants for his game, Everyone else is lvl 13 and up and decently geared.

I'm just trying to get more information as this was only shared with me at the end of our last gaming session. I've sent the DM an email requesting clarification on this.

I've been playing a 12th lvl Character (Lvl 11 Human Fighter / Lvl 1 Ranger) and his most recent brush with death (according to the DM) revealed that there is more to him and who he is than just simple Human Fighter. Basically myself and our druid were swallowed by a giant flesh ooze and through force of will (and some amazing dice rolls) I was able to hold myself together, our druid wasn't so fortunate as she was digested almost immediately.

So at lvl 12 its now been revealed to me that I'm a half-janni, but I've been playing this guy as if he's from a far northern viking-esque climate.

Whats the best way to incorporate this bloodline into my character? I have the Qadira book, do I just add the bonus's to my ability scores and go from that point? Or do I go all the way to beginning and recalculate my skills and bonus's from lvl 1? Do I add the Flight to my movement?

I want to be fair to the other players as they won't know this about my character. In light of this addition to my character, I'm not going to take a leadership feat as I think being "buffed" and having a cohort just might be too much.

I haven't played a lot of caster classes, so I'm not sure what "Spell-like abilities" mean and how they're "cumulative" What would his caster level be? 14?

I'm looking to run some games with my girlfriend and myself in our place in Culver City, CA.

Are there any more games scheduled or available. I'm still looking myself.

I'm in Culver City as well, though I'm just getting into Pathfinder. I've got a Thursday night 4e game and an every other Sunday night Pathfinder game as well.

How does one get credit for Pathfinder Society games held at home or by others?

I'd go with Barbarian or Fighter, but you can also go Bard depending on the type of Viking you'd like to be.

You should be Ulfen in regards to race.

Assuming you are going the combat route, choose skills like Swimming, craft (woodworking or weaponsmithing), Intimidate and Survival.

For feats go with Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Endurance, Intimidating Prowess, Athletic

All great ideas, Thanks!

I'm still working on it, but the above gives some good info that others have posted as well.

Fighter will be a part of it definitely, Barbarian is also a possibility. I should have mentioned that this campaign is in the Pathfinder/Greyhawk world.

Just remember when you play a Viking, its rape, pillage THEN burn. (Old SCA joke, sorry.)

Barbarian-beserker types I would save for higher level character. Remember, the etymology of "beserker" comes from "bearskin" which Nordic warriors used to wear. They whipped themselves into a frenzy - rage, raaahrrrr! The prestige that would come with a position like that I would reserve for a higher level character, or one with a higher societal position. Maybe the actual Bear Warrior prestige class later on.

To create a Viking-feeling character, I would take max ranks in Profession (sailor), ranks in Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (religion) (maybe one or two, as they were religous folk), Perform (oratory), Knowledge (nature) (for weather/seasons), Swim, Intimidate, and Balance. For Craft skills, weaponsmithing, blacksmithing, woodcarving; for Profession, maybe fishing and farming.

For equipment: handaxe or longsword, spear(s), chain shirt, probably a dagger for backup.

I was thinking a Fighter lvl 5/Cleric lvl 6 - Air Domain (For a Storm God) as a possibility in Pathfinder that would be Gozreh. I'd want a massive Trident/BattleAxe or something.. Viking-ish.

I need help w/ a Lvl 11 82k starting gp Viking build for the Savage Tide. Thoughts & links Appreciated.

And I did read here: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/dnd/archives/vikingCh aracter

but other than a few things, nothing pops out as a build, i.e. Feats, Gear, skills, build. Multi-class options. It should be tough and able to throw down some serious attacks.

Of course I'm thinking Human or Dwarf for race.
