Background:
As a young man Him was a devout servant of the Dawnflower and a renowned swordsman in the ranks of The Blades of the Dawnflower. Part of the band that rescued Vasaro from the gnolls the two men became firm friends, sharing a hatred for dogmen, and a love of hard liqor!
Some fifteen years ago Him'Wazir's small command was ambushed by a large force of gnoll slavers. While his men were sold off Him's fame earned him six years or torture and humiliation, beginning with the crude amputation of both arms. He finally managed to escape, because his emaciated frame allowed him to slip through the bars of his cage. Content to die in the desert he was instead found by his former brothers who were scouting the gnolls warcamp.
The Blades of the Dawnflower, were able to restore his arms, but he was no longer the powerful man he had been. His restored arms were slender trembling twigs that could barely hold a sword and his body trembled constantly hardly able to support its own weight. Unable to face his former friends and proteges, he took to the bottle, and finally resolved to flee their pitying gazes heading to the city of Cassomir to stay with Vasaro while he strives to regain his former prowess.
Description:
Baggy clothing hangs off a skeletally gaunt man, wearing a sour half smile. He laughs often, but it is a bitter rasping bark. Sarcasm and cynicism are his defacto response to the world, but deep down he longs to be the hero he once was and he cannot overlook the suffering of others, knowing it all too well himself.
