Add 10 to any roll of 10 or less that you make on these checks, just as if you spent a victory point (thus ensuring a minimum roll of 11). The attacker must equal or exceed your opposed check result in order to hit you. ⚡ PL 10, POWER POINTS (175):

⚡ COMPLICATIONS:
◬ Enemy (Ares): The Olympian God of War and son of Zeus and Hera, has hated his half-brother since Herakles' 6th legendary labour saw the demigod defeat Ares' monstrous pet Stymphalian Birds. However it is for the Bringer of War's malevolent influence upon the Nazi regime; driving their quest for dominance and atrocities, that Herakles abhors him for most in return. ◬ Enemy (Hera): Hera has long been a vindictive harridan toward Herakles since his birth, with her spite and machinations against the demigod only growing over the millennia. ◬ Enemy (Hydra): Distilled from the Nazis, this international terrorist organisation takes its name from Herakles' ancient foe - the Lernaean Hydra and he aims to see it share the same fate. The mighty demigod has clashed with its agents, leaders (The Crimson Skull), super-scientists (such as Baron Von Blitzschlag) and creations (particularly Donnergott, the cyborg-clone of Thor) on numerous occasions during, and since, WW2. ◬ Fame: Herakles, more popularly known as Hercules, is a famous hero of myth and legend. ◬ Motivation (Hedonistic Thrill-seeker): Herakles is always looking for a good time, and doesn't care whether it takes the form of legendary adventures, fine food and drink, or libidinous companionship. ◬ Power Loss (Immortality): His divine immortality [1] as an Olympian relies on consumption of Ambrosia. As an exile Herakles no longer has access to the fabled "food of the gods" and is susceptible to mortal ailments and the ravages of time. ◬ Relationship (Zeus): As the "favoured" scion of Zeus, Herakles is quick to remind mere mortals of his superiority, while being keenly aware that he is nothing compared to the full godly might of his father. Since his exile from Olympus this relationship has been tested. ◬ Reputation (Rambunctious Bruiser): Herakles is well known for his loudness and difficulty to control when seeking to bestow the "gift of battle”. ◬ Reputation (Lothario): He has a well deserved reputation as a seducer of both men and women. ◬ Responsibility (Those Close to Him Die): Despite his rather larger-than-myth persona, Herakles bears terrible guilt of all the friends and loved ones who have perished, sometimes by his own hand. He does not want this to happen to any new friend, comrade or lover, and seeing them in mortal danger will trigger an extraordinary rage within him. ◬ Rivalry (Namor the Sub-Mariner): As two of the mightiest heroes of their world Imperius Rex and Lion of Helles have been both allies and rivals. Their competition is compounded by occasions where Herakles has been mistaken for Namor, and his deeds accredited to the Atlantean noble. ◬ Secret (Murdered his own family): In a fit of destructive rage wrought upon him by Hera, he killed his own wife and children. Herakles will never stop seeking to atone for their tragic deaths. ◬ Temper: The rages of Herakles are legendary. [1]: Should Herakles’ immortality be restored by Zeus and he begins consumption of Ambrosia again he will (re)gain Immunity 3 (aging, disease, poison), Regeneration 5 and ultimately Immortality 4. ⚡HEROIC TIMELINE:
◬ 1286BC: Herakles is born in Thebes, Ancient Greece, son of Zeus and Alkmḗnē, a mortal woman. A jealous Hera sends serpents who fail to kill the infant demigod. ◬ 1285BC: Hera unwittingly nurses the abandoned Herakles imbuing him with more divine might. ◬ 1264BC: Herakles marries Megara and becomes a father. ◬ 1259BC: Driven into a fit of madness by a vindictive Hera, Herakles kills his wife and children. ◬ 1258BC: Begins his 12 legendary labours as atonement. ◬ 1251BC: Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, agrees to gift the demigod her fabled belt - the object of Herakles’ 9th Labour. Hera interferes, spreading doubt and fear amongst the Amazons resulting in them confronting Herakles. In a rage he defeats the Amazons and wrests the belt from Hippolyta by force. ◬ 1248BC: Completes the last of his labours. ◬ 1246BC: Joins the Argonauts and later is abandoned by them as he searches of Hylas. ◬ 1226BC: Herakles, fatally poisoned with Hydra's venom, immolates himself and arises to Olympus a full god. ◬ 1941AD: Greece falls to Axis forces spearheaded by Hydra divisions. The Olympian Pantheon decree they will not involve themselves in the affairs of mortals. The Amazons of Themyscira acquiescence to the decision of the gods.
