I've never ever been interested in doing a Kickstarter - especially after reading so many Tenkar's Tavern blogs about failed Kickstarters or Kickstarters that funded by didn't make good on their promises. But when I saw this one I dived in headfirst without hesitation. Why? Because I've got the original and it's beyond awesome. And because Chris Pramas is an exemplary game designer who I felt I could trust. Way to go guys! Can't wait to get my stuff!
It's nice to know that having been away for awhile I can always come back and find serious threads on the messageboards about "boobplate armor." It's just a matter of time before somebody posts a thread about attack and skill penalties for a wearing a codpiece outside of his size category. Anyone else spot anything here on the site that's boggles your mind lately? Maybe something really gonzo like Rob Kuntz actually publishing something?
I guess this would be an example of punishing a player...maybe unfairly, maybe not. I had a guy create a half-elf druid...named Steve. A half-elf druid. Named Steve. Steve. Ug. I tried to patiently explain how Steve the Druid violated the campaign aesthetic. The player was adamant. Steve the half-elf druid. Steve the druid died.

Dude...sounds like you need to write a 3rd party product because that whole thing was just too cool. I want exactly what you just described.
DC 27 seems a reasonably high DC for a CR 13 critter. What's giving the fighter his high Will save? Plus, if anyone gets shaken from its aura they take a -2 on saves. Notice that this adventure is for 4 18th level characters. A CR 13 monster really is like an annoying mosquito. Also, keep in mind that whether you keep it as is or go with that Fiend of Possession, a simple 1st level Protection from Evil pretty much nerfs its mojo. I'm just advising one thing really: don't spend a lot of time on something that doesn't really promote the adventure. Unless you want to because you think its really that fun and so will your players.
They seem to be updating the listings fairly quickly. It went from a 1 page listing to a 5 page listing in 1 day. Too, some pdfs that I bought through DriveThruRPG have been updated and are now better quality than what I originally downloaded - and I didn't have to pay 1 red cent for what I already owned. I'm optimistic and really hoping for the OD&D White Box and supplements.
Level adjustment is an arbitrary level penalty that creates a level gap to compensate for the percieved advantages granted by the template. In other words, the saint template is supposed to be as good as the benefits received from 2 actual levels. 30 levels doesn't compute. A 15th level gestalt still only has 15 HD, some better saves (but still only as a 15th level character), and some extra benefits. It's not a 30th level anything. Don't allow yourself to think like that. Go back and look over the saint template and see again just how good it is. It's a fair trade.
The 3.5 version of Dyr'ryd is capable of spider climbing while invisible and moving from wall to wall. Both that version and the PF Bestiary version give a shaggy demodand a crapload of fog-based spells that could blanket the whole room. You can't see invisible if you can't see at all! Remember, Dyr'ryd's goal is to fight a delaying action - not directly engage the party. I'd give the 3.5 version Ventriloquism in place of one of his other sorcerer spells.

That's pretty cool. Why should Vhalantru have all the fun?
You're following the book's script too closely. Why was Dyr'ryd even alone? He's got a whole sanctum full of allies and (more importantly) expendable mooks. At the very least Shebeleth should be present to buff his ally and draw fire. Even better would be a bunch of lesser demodands getting in the way. There are like a million posts in these forums about never letting your BBEG fight alone. If Dyr'ryd is toast just plan ahead for the next showdown.
I'm all for removing the negative aspects of the spell. In my campaign the dead PC typically got looted while the player rolled up a new character. Then you've got a player out of action instead of playing. Then you've got a new character to introduce who is strangely fully customized for the current setting and situation. Bad.

Yes I would. It's called an insect swarm. Immune to weapon damage as long as critters composing the swarm are Fine or Diminutive. A fine example of this can be found in Erik Mona's Whispering Cairn for the Age of Worms AP.
