About Gurlok Bonegrinder
Gurlok has been an outcast from the Bonegrinder Tribe for many years. He was born with a club foot, and this deformity caused his orcish mother to abandon him in the foothills where he was found by a passing band of humans who rescued him. Gurlok was handed over to a kind elderly woman named Brusilda who loved Gurlok as the son she had lost years earlier.
It was Brusilda who noticed the boy's knack for picking up things rather quickly. He was walking at nine months and speaking before his second birthday. Brusilda pulled out her old musty spellbook that had lain untouched since her son's death some four decades earlier and began instructing Gurlok in the ways of the arcane at he age of twelve.
Gurlok quickly mastered all that Brusilda taught him, but he chose to stay with his loving mother until she passed away many summers ago. He continued her legacy of teaching the local children about their lands and history for many years, but his thirst for knowledge has caused Gurlok to step outside his door and seek it at the age of 28.
