![]() Sorry, I got home after work yesterday and just hardcrashed, woof. Guang is relieved as Glen brings down their foe (who is then shortly immolated down to be an indistinguishable black smear on the landscape). "Ah, that was being worry for a moment, my friends!" He proposes to take the body of the old sage with them, but before he can voice that, the body itself drifts to be claimed by time. Guang bows his head respectfully. "May your next incarnation end more suitably, elder..." Out on the sands, in the clean air, Guang willingly takes some of Glen's offered beverage, though he coughs just slightly on drinking it. "Strong stuff, this! It has been an honor to work with you all. Brother Glen, I shall certainly be considering you. Let us make haste back to Manakhet, for it seems the Sapphire Sage has some answers to be making about all this..." ![]()

![]() I have to say, having just played a number of the season 9 scenarios that tie into a lot of the story-arc stuff from Heresy, this is pretty fun for me, seeing how all the pieces are tying together in a cohesive whole. For those of you who get a chance, Salvation of the Sages is a fun one to play with Heresy in your character's background, though there's a number of other scenarios that have some hooks to things like Mirza as well. I'm kind of impressed they wove it all together out of scenario roots 6 seasons ago. Anyway, back from con. I don't think I have any big purchases for Guang but I'll check. ![]()

![]() Dunno much about history: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 ...never mind, apparently I do! Guang's expression turns to a sort of placid astonishment, his brows rising to his lack of a hairline. "The Citadel of the Weary Sky? Truly? The Jaizun citadel itself? How miraculous! It so happens I know a little of the history of this place, though I never dreamt to travel there myself." Guang expounds happily upon the history of the citadel, once a Jistkan outpost before the wrath of Ahriman itself laid it low. Feel free to read the history spoiler, teammates "...and so, all that remained of this once mighty laboratory was a smoking, abandoned crater. Just think! We shall be the first to inspect it and see if it is so, I take it. How many days' travel does it look to be by this wondrous map, Master Obo? Do we know if the elemental forces yet rage uncontrolled after all these millennia?" ![]()

![]() Sorry, been busy! Guang offers a courteous bow to the sphinx... drifting down briefly to one knee. "I agree with my fellows that the answer seems the sphinx-- reclined after the meal, feasting with hands involved, and normally padding the desert on all four paws. Does this answer please you, Hetepheres?" ![]()

![]() (Yeah, AC 28 is accurate in the immediate) Guang only smiles even when a claw rakes a bleeding furrow through his skin. "It is an undead efreet, friends. If that helps you decide. Mirza, it is time to cease struggle." Maintain grapple: 1d20 + 18 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 18 + 5 = 25 Ick, low roll. I think I'm gonna use reroll + GM stars I SAID, maintain grapple: 1d20 + 18 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 18 + 5 + 4 = 31 Not much better on the dice... but if that succeeds, then Guang will escalate grapple to pinned.
