I am, for the first time, building a level 9 summoner and I would like to confirm how the usage of weapons and natural attacks in a same full attack action actually works.

From what I understand, the weapon attacks work exactly like a human fighter's would: full BAB and 1 extra attack per 5 BAB the creature has (str damage bonus depends on the weapon being two handed or one handed), and every other (natural) attack you have (which the weapon isn't obligating you to forgo in order to hold it), are made normally except that all are now considered secondary and have a -5 ATK roll penalty (-2 with multiattack) and deals 1/2 str bonus.

I will use the "horned devil" to exemplify:

Melee +1 unholy spiked chain +26/+21/+16 (2d6+11 plus stun), bite +22 (2d8+5), tail +22 (2d6+5 plus infernal wound) or 2 claws +24 (2d6+10), bite +24 (2d8+10), tail +22 (2d6+5 plus infernal wound)

Is that how it goes? is that valid for any monster capable of using a weapon and making severall natural attacks?

thanks for your time in advance!

Hi there,

Well, I want to clear a doubt I have about what types of creatures can use what types of equipment.

for example, in Monstrous Humanoid description, it says that any monstrous humanoid described as not using armor, is not profficient with any armor.

would picking up a class level (if the monster in question is elegible for that class) that grant armor profficiency, override that limitation?

thanks in advance!
