Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

I was hoping to upgrade HK and Danguard once I became a tech specialist. Such is the way of the force...........

I had it all planned out how I was going to holo-record and interview each of you about the events that we experienced as we flew off the hunk of rock we were trapped on.

Was gonna call it: Groodar and the crew of 300 years.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

"42, do you have any more information on this debris field and do you fathom it will be a hazard for us?"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar speaks

"Would anyone be opposed to just doing a scouting mission? Perhaps so Groodar could get some footage of such a mystical beast for generations to see? As for the droids planning.....The avalance has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Author continues to record the events while remaining in the background.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar thinks to himself.

By the great hunt this is good footage!

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar is now level 2 and will continue on his Scoundrel path. He will also take the +1 destiny bonus to all skill checks and ability checks for all allies within 10 squares of you to inspire his allies that we may actually get off this hunk of moon with its strange ghost-like spirits.

Basic: "Groodar is a skilled pilot as well and can pilot or function as a co-pilot. Groodar used to fly zoo ships of captured beasts to the inner plants of his system. Many times Groodar had to evasively pilot away from smugglers who tried to steal the game to sell on the black market"

Groodar will spend the next day to go over the ship's systems to make sure all is well.

Specifically:
1- How much of the ship's stores are available (food and water).
2- How much of the life support is available.
3- How much of the ship's power is available.

Using the ship's computer to run diagnostics on the ship systems.
Use Computer skill check. (1d20+13=19)

Actual physical examanitaion of the ship's hull, components, and systems.
Mechanics skill check. (1d20+13=30)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Total roll or 18 for the Mechanics Check.

+1 from Ceelell coordinating our efforts (inspire confidence)
+2 from Remar's Aid Other

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar calls upon the force as he has done so many times in the past few days. He asks it to guide his hand so he may get his allies home and prove to them that he is still able to participate in the 'Great Hunt.'

Calling upon the force (1d6=2) (down to 1 force point left)
Mechanics skill check (1d20+7+2+1=15) (+1 GM bonus included)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar will make a new skill check for day three.

Mechanics skill check (1d20+7=27)

Great Grooda!! Check out that natural '20' electronic dice roll!

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

And I'll form the head! Go Voltron!!

Sorry could not help myself :)

Groodar will perform repair rolls
Mechanics skill check (1d20+7=11)

Oh, does not look good!

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar will rest when he needs to in between days, making sure his tools are cleaned for the next day of repairs.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar sets out for the hard days ahead aided by Remar.

I have not included the aid of Remar in the skill check.
Mechanics Skill Check (1d20+7=24)

For the GM

Spoiler:

Let me know when we get to the 'installing/repairing of the hyperdrive on our ship' phase as I want to spend force points on that as Groodar is determined to prove his worth and get his allies off this rock.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

"42, perhaps in order to restore faith with you for our deception, at a later time I could install a self-diagnostic package to your systems since you wish a more sufficient self-repair system?"

Planning
Is Ceelell the most intelligent person in our group? From all his various talks with Groodar, he seems far more knowledgable in just about everything. Do we get bonuses to the Int check if the person assisting the main planner has skills in Mechanics or Knowledge [technology]?

Physical Labor
Is HK-22 the strongest person (well droid in this case)? He also does not tire so would he mind hauling gear from day to day?

Repairs
Do we all agree we are more concerned with sucessful checks than how quickly it will get done? If so, perhaps Remar can assist Groodar in repairs if he does not mind and no one else is better at Mechanics? Does anyone else have skill in the wrench and pliers?

Side Note
Do we have food and water for six or more days? Does our ship have food stores for us that survived the crash? What about life support for our space voyage?

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar hands Ceelell back his Heavy (Verpine modified) Blaster Pistol with 45 shots left on the on power pack before he heads to the engine room.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Egads! I did not even think about the droid still remembering everything! WOW! We suck

"AAD-42, you will find better treatment from us than your sith masters. The repramming was done so as to protect ourselves from any possible malic you may have intended. When we have time I will make sure you get a nice oil bath, repair any damge you may have sustained, and if you so wish, upgrade you to your processor's delight."

Groodar will head to the engine room and providing he gets there with no assault by any remaining droids, will try to see what state the hyperdrive is in and if possible what parts may be usable to fix the hyperdrive of Dantooine's Hope.

Mechanics skill check to determine state of hypderdrive and if there are any parts usable on Dantooine's Hope to fix its hyperdrive.
Mechanics skill check for mechanized mechanical evaluation. (1d20+7=22)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

With Ceelell's inspiring words that makes the final Use Computer skill check at a whopping 33 to reprogram the droid loyalties.

Groodar will turn '42' back on after he is done with the reprogramming. He loosens the strap guard on his hip holster as a precaution.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar goes to work on '42'.

Using his 'talent' of the keys and the processor he tries to reprogram the droid to serve Jedi and obey them without question. He also adds a subroutine to make Danguard and himself his new owners.

Using his well-worn tool kit, Groodar spends 10 minutes to change 42's loyalty subroutines.

Asking these weird parasites to aid his mental fortitude.
Calling upon the Force (1d6=3)

Use Computer check to reprogram the Sith droid. (1d20+12+3=32)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

After an hour of intense work with the aid of this mysterious force, or living parasites he has read about, Groodar wipes the sweat from his scaly brow.

"Groodar has removed the explosive package everyone, yet Groodar has no idea what type it is as he is not skilled in such devices."

Groodar hands the device to which ever person wants it while leaving the sith droid in shut down mode still.

"Shall Groodar reprogram the droid to serve a different master? It would be an easy task for one of my computer talents."

"Oh, and HK-22, about that list you keep. Remember who you designated as 'useful' and who spent close to ten hours making sure you were in fine working order."

Groodar smiles weakly at HK-22.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar makes sure the droid is shut off (seeing the standby light blinking).

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Calling upon The Force so no one goes BOOM! (1d6=5)

Groodar removes the tool-kit from the well-worn backback adorning his back and goes to work.

Force-Aided Mechanics check to remove self-destruct mechanism. (1d20+7+5=32)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Ahh, we likessss when the XPssss flowesssst, the preciousssss.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar spends 6 swift actions (two full rounds) to move +2 up the condition track providing nothing prevents him from doing this.

Shaking his head back and forth and extending his head antennae wide, he tries to get the beautiful songs to swarm out of his thoughts so he can more focus on getting everyone off this rock.

"Forty-Two are you willing to allow me to remove your explosives so my master is better armed against our enemies?"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Perception check upon hearing AAD-42's current suggestion. (1d20+5=11)

And a racial reroll as head antennae dart to and fro.

Racial Reroll. (1d20+5=16)

I did not include the -1 to the roll due to condition track as it looks like you asked for a Perception check before I was hit with energy. If it is applicable then final roll is '15'.

Is there a way to have Invisible Castle show you the actuall roll as well in the html tag? I do not see that option.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Basic: "And what mythical system may that be AAD-42?"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

"Have we come up with our plans to surrender to this most useful droid? Yes, Yes. Groodar feels we should surrender to this droid, after all, it's our only way out of this and clearly with its explosive attitude the droid clearly shows it is in charge."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Also, with that Mechanics roll can I tell if this droid has locked access?

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Perception check. (1d20+5=8)

and a racial reroll

Perception check reroll. (1d20+5=20)

Groodar looks at this demanding droid to determine its model, degree, and desginated function
Mechanics skill check (1d20+7=27)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Seeing and waiting till he is the last one left outside of the ship, Groodar adjusts the straps on his well-worn backpack, makes sure his cool-looking flight jacket is securely adjusted, and then takes his time climbing up to the top of the crashed ship, lest he falls.

As he gets to the top, he extends his head antennae wide, looks around at the great view now from the top, and then scans the area.

Visual scan of the great view far atop the crashed ship. (1d20+5=15) [Perception check]

He then closes his eyes, trying to let any possible breeze hit his rough, pebbly textured skin. He tries to soak up the experience, listening for any active sounds, sensing with his antennae.... trying to 'taste' the air itself. His mind lingers for a few moments......

The last time Groodar was this high up was high atop the deep trees of his jungle planet, during the times of the hunts.
He wipes a silent tear away from his large black bulbous eye.

Well, perhaps 300 years is enough time to erase mistakes. Besides, Rodia could have changed much in that time.

He then enters the ship.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar stiffens, then salutes.

"By your command Aruuna."

He then moves his attention away from Christy and towards Aruuna.

He directs Author in Rodese to fly up to the top of the ship, travel 30 meters down the now visible access plate (if possible), and then report back. Naturally he tells Author to keep that footage a coming!

Perception skill check for the poor misused droid. (1d20+14=17)
Author has improved sensor package so it has low-light vision but cannot see in complete darkness.

Stealth check for the recorder droid who only wants to record things and not be constantly placed in the front lines. (1d20+22=40)
WOAH!! Spot that Sith boy!

"Christy are you ok?"

"HK-22 when are you do for your next power charge? What are you power levels at? We don't want you shutting down if we are deep within this mechanical leviathan."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2
Quote:
HK-22 makes various annoyed noises, then pauses, pulls out his sword and begins hacking the cannon off of the fallen droid. "Statement: we must all make sacrifices, my electronic brother. Yours is noted."

Simply brilliant, I had a good laugh at this.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Basic:: "Is anyone trained in the medical arts among our group? Groodar can try and use Christy's medpack on her, but alas, Groodar is more at home with the wrench and the keyboard."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Oh I am sure HK-22 is going for the big shiny gun to try to use it or place it on himself. He cannot help himself, afterall, it's in his programming. :) WOW, droid on droid action, I better record that, LOL!

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Basic: "Careful all, there are sure to be more droids and other undesirables inside the ship alerted to our presence, can we lend first aid to Christy and proceed inwards with caution? Groodar wants to check the hyper chamber."

Groodar checks behind him to make sure Author has not been damaged by stray fire and then moves towards Christy, chuckling quietly over the battle lusted HK-22 who clearly does not understand the concept of embedded technology. He makes a mental note to possibly increase the droid's intellectual and logic algorithms when he has spare time and if the droid has learned to not use his head as a grenade during its last repair cycle.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

'I'm sorry, but Groodar shot first.'

Nice reference there oh luminous GM! It put a smile to my face here at work :)

Curse Lucas and him wanting to change all the movies (ET and guards with walkie talkies, Greedo shooting first, etc).

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Attack roll on the closest droid.

Attack Roll. (1d20+3=20)

And if it hits
Ion Damage (3d8=10)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Seeing Ceelell hiding behind a shield leaf he asks in the standard galactic basic tongue:

"I understand your people are well versed in life and nature. Add that to your obvious vast experience and military tactics, do you know what planet we are on?"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar speaks to Ceelell while laying on Ionized disruption.

Basic: "Groodar has reprogrammed Author to only understand binary and Rodese as people kept shooting at it or telling it to stop recording during Groodar's daily newscasts. Sorry for the languages, Groodar gets excited at times."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Seeing his shot hit the transmitter, albeit not as accurate as he would like, Groodar lets out a war cry.

Jawa Trade Language: "Utini!"

Spoiler:
"Take that you impersonal collections of inanimate Hardware!"

Sensing the blood of the kill near its end he continues to fire at a random droid while remaining in place at his current distance.

Possibly range penalties and Point Blank Shot feat not factored in.
Attack Roll: 1d20+3=13
Ion Damage roll (3d8=13) (if he hits)

Move action
Rodese: "Hoch jaghpu'Daj HoHbogh Suvwl' ylvup!"

Spoiler:
"Author keep recording!"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

You know the force is laughing at us Ceelell. Hopefully the transmitter is an unattended immobile object and only has a Reflex defense of 5 + Size

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar stands still and tries to quell the heightened pace that is now deep within him, ignoring everyone around him as they conduct battle. As he has done many times in the past, he stares at his target, ignoring all around, focusing on nothing but the target. He takes a steady aim at the transmitter ontop of the crashed ship, knowing full well that this should be an easy shot as most of the time his prey was charging towards him at full speed as he fired at them during the times of the hunt.

He holds his breath so as to not ruin the aim and to help reduce recoil. He mentally thinks to himself....

If there truly is something out there greater than ourselves, if there is something out there that guides our hands, and that the force does in fact flow within all living things; please let me make this shot, please let me help get us out of here and prove I am still capable of the hunt.

Groodar takes a steady aim, using up two swift actions (sacrificing his move action) so his shot ignores any cover bonuses. As his standard action he fires at the transmitter dish from short range while calling upon the force (free action) to aid him.

Calling upon the force to aid his eye. (1d6=6)
Attack roll on Transmitter. (1d20+3+6=11) (-2 for short range brings the total to a measly 9, hopefully it is an unattended immobile object)
Ion Damage roll (3d8=17)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Roughly how far is Ceelell and myself away from the crashed ship, and most importantly the transmitter on top of it?

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

I got the jedi Academy book right now, both printed copy and PDF copy. It is sooo uber.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar yells out.

Basic: "Aim for the dish on top of the ship, it's our only hope!"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Perception skill check. (1d20+5=7)

And a racial reroll as Groodar's head antennae dart to and fro.

Perception skill reroll. (1d20+5=21)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Moving with the speed fashioned from the genes of a thousand generation of hunters, Groodar's well-muscular legs propel him his full movement speed as a move action. He is used to fast movement in combat after many years of running as the hunter..... and as the hunted.

Having gotten closer (9 meters [6 squares]) as his move action, his hunter instincts then take over as his head antennae scan the nearest droid allowing him to fire the heavy blaster pistol with hardened reflexes.

Attack Data (Point Blank Shot and/or range penalties not factored in)
Attack roll to unleash ionized hell. (1d20+3=7)

Groodar curses as the blue bolt goes wide.
Rodese: "IeghlaHchu'be' chugh mln lo'laHbe' taj jej"

Spoiler:
"May your weapons chip and shatter!"

Groodar spends a move action to get closer and then a standard action to unleash ionized hades

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar fires his borrowed heavy blaster randomly.

Heavy Blaster on Ion Setting. (1d20+3=9)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

I not with the flanking group. Best for me to be with the group that has the largest amount of fodder, er, um, party members.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar thanks Ceelell for the lending of his weapon and then attempts to twirl the blaster in his suction-tipped finger before placing it in his hip holster.

Deception check to twirl heavy blaster in finger and look impressive. (1d20+1=12)

Conversion docs say Sleight of Hand was replaced by Deception which is Cha based for this act oddly enough.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar offers Ceelell his sporting blaster pistol with the measly 3 shots left on its energy cell.

Basic: "Perhaps you can use one of the droid rifles on autofire? As a military tactician are you skilled in such weapons?"

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Basic: "Groodar is skilled in marksmanship from his youngling days of the hunt and was known to have a keen eye before......"

Groodar stops his speech suddenly.

Basic: "Perhaps Groodar would be better off with a weapon dealing ion damage so any droids that are disabled can be reprogrammed after?"
