About Gronck
I'm currently considered property of my tribe because my mother was captured by the tribe and became tribal property herself: being born of property means that by default I become property. My father died whilst I was in the womb and my mother died giving birth to me so not only am I property I'm an orphan as well.
What this meant during my childhood was that I got to do all of those jobs that the rest of the tribe wouldn't do, was constantly bullied and beaten and was frequently hungry for days on end.
It's very unusual for property to be allowed to leave the tribal camp, especially alone, but I'm undergoing my Rite of Passage to become an adult within the tribe; if I succeed I'll no longer be property. The Rite requires me to perform a courageous deed and return back to the tribe and recount the story.
Looking at me, I'm your typical half-orc, with tusks protruding from my jaw, high forehead and small black pin-pricks for eyes. My lanky black hair is drawn back and tied in a pig-tail down my back, bits of twigs and leaves frequently sticking out of it. My skin is swarthy and olive green and, between the gaps in the furs, can be seen a very muscular and scarred body.
I wear leather armour under the furs and carry what appears to be half a tree trunk for a weapon (property doesn't get much money so I've scavenged what little I've got). Hanging round my neck, on a leather thong, is a wolf's head amulet.
