I would like to get a try at this barbarian here, a savage technologist.

Thinking of a swashbuckler/gunslinger mix alternatively though.
Anyway both are melee/ranged mix and can use technic weapons, both kinda tanky.

GM Tierce, what you mean with smaller/streamlined dungeons though?

Well hello there! Fully ready sorcerer with experience from the PFS part of RoW 1.

Um. I meant it's going to be the kind of recruitment where we all clown around and have a laugh before the game has even started?

Fair enough. Second line was my opinion^^

Yeah i wish you a lot of fun. It´s a lot of work to read so many character concepts and then decide which one to take.
Just glad i don´t have to do that^^

Everytime i apply for a non-PFS game here or mixed game i´m kind of surprised how many work some people put in there, writing hour and pages long intros and backstories.
Quite often there is pretty nice stuff among it, but sometimes it´s also weird.

Since most characters are often fairly young, i tend not to make the backstory too big or complex. After all, it´s better to develop some parts of the personality and then play that out, since most adventures are still to be had. Which will influence them much more somehow in my eyes.

This one was born in the lands of the mammoth lords.

So me, HayatoKen, applies with this pretty little character.

Backstory would be kind of similar to first. Perhaps i could do the gnome as a sylvan too.

Gnnnhh, writing...i know what that meanss! Hairy fake orc wantss to ssteal wordss from otherss headss and then mumble vile magic! I hope he hass some entertaining fire and iss on the right sside of hiss book.

I hope i will be soundly asleep at that time^^

Now that sounds promising!

Uh i just tried to make a custom race too, some mutated halfling tribe.
I think it´s really just cherrypicking. Being honest to myself i have to admitt it just suited my wishes to play rogue/ninja or similar sneakish stuff in more than one way. So i´ll stick with the goblin, even though i liked my own fluff (of course).

It´s really cool to see how people from all over the world come together here to play and have fun!

I made the experience that making a characters stats and abilities easily accesible for the GM and other players is best somehow, for ease of play and it can sometimes influence important decisions.

Alice GM, whilst it is commencing to snow here again, i have a question about Rappan Athuk. Is it worth the while to care for poisons and alchemics? And will there be possibilities to sell and buy stuff or is it only the things you find, not accustomed to personal needs?

That means wednesday 23.02. 01:00 am CET. GMT is -1 if you are in England or Ireland or Scottland.

Haha the women in Robert Jordans novels are kind of special^^
But that´s clearly his novel and fantasy, it bears a lot of signs of SM influence, there are so many hints. Just think of all the shackles and manacles stuff.

Roleplaying someone of a different gender is always a challenge.
On the one hand you are playing out your fantasies whatever they are, on the other hand you should be carefull not to offend your fellow persons at the table and also try to play the character authentic and realistic.

It already starts with playing a different race from human actually, the different gender just adds another layer.

I think it´s all about empathy in playing and writing. You can bring out your desires and visions, your experience (what will never be enough to be just to all people on earth in which way ever) and then try to be realistic. Of course this heavily depends on the setting and scenario.

If you write or play convincing characters in a convincing scenario it will always be good. If you do something else but mark it as such, it can be good too. There will always be someone who doesnt like it for some reasons.

But i agree with Alice, roleplaying chainmailbikini maidens like red sonja is not really roleplaying a woman.

This is why a often play female characters, besides of the great oportunity for roleplaying and making it a real play like in theater.
But somehow playing a female goblin is a bit over the top for me right now. Female halflings, sylphs, even tengu though, no problem.

Yeah good luck everyone, its seems to get interesting witht hat much good competition here.

So i updated my background and stuff into the character description. I think playing a goblin is pretty funny and off track, but not too powerfull. I dont know how many RP they have actually.

If i would do my own race i would probably end up serving the needs for the class i want, which is similar to taking a class as race and bad design in my mind, so i just stick to what´s already here.

Ok changed it to goblin ninja without rich parents.

Yeah that´s what i heard and want to play a rogue in the first place.
A goblin rogue is already not a common rogue for me, sylph or grippli would also be fine for me.

I could also play a halfling just to go into the prestige class to get 20ft trapspotter eventually^^. I´m fine with such stuff.

The ninja is slightly better with fighting i think, but a different build somehow and i think in a dungeon a rogue will do just fine.

Here you can see the build by the way.
