I think he mentioned being away for like a week because he;s on vacation so we're looking at a pause before we start.

Hey I'm sure I could fit in too! Might even be able to work out a deal to invest in a business, miners would need a place to go after they get off to spend their pay...

Not trying to favor anyone in particular, Just trying to get possible story hooks in early. I'm psyched to play this character and it's a shame to have an early drop out.

Either of the 2 ladies could well be an ally of Grace's particularly if there's a troubled background my vengeance/prostitution oriented gal would be offended by.

It's that sort of dismissive thinking that results in lead based misunderstandings, the ladies can wait indeed.

Looking over your characters:

Hex seems like he'd be the type to appreciate a proper madame and we both use hat's of disguise extensively so there could well be an old friendship there.

Nathanial has had issues with Devils, Grace's primary enemy worships Asmodues, could easily be the area that the Devils were trying to warp into their reality was her old town which I'm officially naming Grove's Crossing a town was built around a river bridge (that charged a toll) which had an orchard on the other side.

Hi everyone, I'll introduce Grace a little bit and maybe we can talk about ways to connect backgrounds/why we travel together ect.

Grace would have been content just running a western style whorehouse, not that she worships Callistra. She was run out of town by a mob led by an Inquisitor of Asmodeus who twisted the law against Grace and her girls.

Grace reacted by getting stronger and better. She took vengeance/justice on those that harmed her girls, everyone except the Inquisitor he got away.

Grace has also somewhat made a name for herself as being the one that comes for men that hurt or kill women in general, prostitutes in particular.

That gives some possible tie-ins.

-Maybe one of your characters was sweet on one of Grace's girls and helped my character get vengeance or in the very least we share grief over one. (common grief)
-Maybe that Asmodian did some other crap that harmed you or yours. (common enemy)
-Grace has helped other women, this may mean we share a friend, maybe someone in your background has used Grace's services in the past. (common friends)
-Old Client with no particular attachments to the girls but perhaps enjoyed some conversation with Grace when you passed through town.

I intentionally didn't flesh this out so far that there isn't room to inter mingle your ideas.

Grace flicks a tongue to clear her right eye while inclining her head to spare a glance towards her new companions.

"You're mistaken sir, we don't make trouble. Now if trouble were to seek us that's a different story."

She leans in close like she's sharing a secret.

"Where might my friends here find a woman for hire? The road has been long and I like to make sure my companions needs are tended."

If you like the backstory and the character but not the race, I can switch it to human fairly easily. I considered going Pistolaro or Bolt Ace if party mix is too similar because everyone goes gunslinger.

I landed on Callistra because prostitution was prominent and interesting in the Old West. The first state to have women have the vote (Wyoming I believe) was mostly because of how much prostitutes were apart of the community.

Looks like you figured it out, or maybe I'm seeing things.

This might get some revisions to tidy it up but I'd say it's ready to play. If you want more background let me know, I figured I'd set up a possible villain and maybe some possible old friends that survived the massacre.
