About Gnawlrune

Born in the shadow of the Cenotaph, that mysterious black tower of stone in eastern Belkzen, Gnawlrune was the bastard child of a doughty orc warrior and a captive Varisian woman. His tribe was largely slaughtered by a small group of rampaging demons from the Worldwound, and after this Gnawlrune swore vengeance upon such creatures and began his travels.

His journey took him south, to more civilized lands, where he learned the first smatterings of what it means to be civilized. He fell in with a group of Varisian travelers who recognized his heritage and chose to try to save him from barbarism. Their wanderings took him to Andoran, where he was introduced to the Pathfinder Society. He joined them and has enjoyed many successful ventures since then, although he hopes ultimately his duties will take him north to do battle with the demons of the Worldwound once again.

APPEARANCE: Gnawlrune is a big, beefy half-orc with prominent, boarlike lower tusks that have been scrimshawed with twisted orcish runes denoting strength and bravery. A scar along his scalp from a near decapitation has left a streak of white in his otherwise coarse black hair. Gnawlrune is seldom seen without his favored weapon, a greataxe he has named "Mother Tongue."
