GM Eazy-Earl wrote: If you’re using HeroLab, I think you should be able to print your characters to a PDF, save that PDF to the cloud, then use the hotel’s printers to generate the hard copy from those PDFs. In years past, Lone Wolf has had a presence at PaizoCon with several HeroLab workstations. I’ve never used them nor know how they’re configured, but it may be possible to save your HeroLab character file to a thumb drive, take it to one of those computers, and print it from there. Interesting, i had no idea this was a thing, I'll bear that in mind, Im still getting the printer just for the back up XD

Thanks for all the suggestions folks! After much deliberation, my lady and I are considering getting a portable printer and just work on our characters in our room and then either print them in or say "F**k it" and transcribe everything the old school way, I dont mind doing this since this is how i enjoy doing it and I think it would be the easiest method.

So this is my first Paizocon and Im sorry if this is a goober question, my Wife and I have become very dependant on Herolab and the awesome features it offers so we were considering bringing our laptops, we just wanted to know if there will be space for our stuff at the table or if its a no-no. Thanks!

Kate Baker wrote: Seconding Eazy-Earl, you should be fine for regular SFS games. The lottery games are special events, but there are tons of regular Organized Play tables open after the lottery closes. So Just to confirm, the sign ups drop usually a month before hand (So Around end of April 2018 in this case?)

So I'm buying more than one ticket, one for me and one for my lady. Since this Con is pretty much all my idea (Lady is a huge Pathfinder and Starfinder fan but doesnt have an organizational bone in her body) I have to sign us both up. Is there a specific way to sign more than one person up? SO EXCITED ITS MY FIRST PAIZO CON!!

Its interesting, I had a group of players that would go out of their way to argue with me, saying that evil is "part of their real life personalities, and if I didn't let them play evil characters, I was a bad GM." Quickly told them off, that if they don't like it, I'll find new people to replace them. That changed their tune real quick, sometimes the player or the GM need to take a heavy step to settle down the group. For your problem, I would talk to the GM, explain that you're not having fun and formulate a solution with him. If the GM doesnt step up, I would take everyone else's advice and find a new group. |
