Narkari, if you’re worried about Umbriere being a Fetchling because it would make her more powerful than those of use choosing a base race (Fetchling being a 14 racial point race while human, elf, dwarf ect are 10 rp) might I suggest letting her trade her two non campaign traits for the race? That’s the trade off a DM of mine let me do to play a tiefling in his campaign, and it should roughly cover the power discrepancy.
I can understand being uneasy with a CE character. And I see you have plenty of alternates. However, if you are worried about party in fighting let me assure you that I never planned on him backstabbing the group with Garvok. Garvok was made to be a bastard, but he was made to be the King/Queen’s bastard. Getting the crown the information it needs, and eliminating threats to the king/queendom by any means necessary. He also takes care of his friends, which I tried to illustrate with the Lake Shadows in his past. If this changes your mind, great, I would love to play and would be happy to make any changes to the character or answer any questions that might make you more comfortable with him. If you still don’t want Garvok in the group then I understand and hope that you and whoever you do choose for the party have a blast with the AP.
Throwing Garvok into mix and gunning for spymaster. Magister as backup. People of note Friends: Madame Lisara Besrati F, Elf- Elven Matron of the Amber Room, a small brothel/church of Calistria in Port Ice. Early employer, and mentor to Garvok. Lily F, Human- Garvok's number two in the Lake Shadows, and their de facto leader while he's been away. Enemies: Gil Grimm M, Human - Guardsman who the Lake Shadows have constantly made a fool of. Garvok has been able to keep Grimm's heat off of the Shadows, but the guard knows Garvok, he knows Garvok has made a fool of him on more than on occasion, and would gladly jump at the chance to even the score. |
