+1 agreement wholeheartedly with high, mythic, cosmis idea. Support/ideas/background is necessary at all these levels. ![]()
![]() @ drumlord: Thanks for creating this thread; my group is approaching 20th level and we're having similar questions, concerns, and angst arise. We've tried the ELH once before with horrible, disastrous results. It almost put us off the game entirely. @ katerek: Those are terrific spells! I'd love to see more if you ever happen to dig up the notebook. We need to make sure Paizo knows (although I am sure they do) that there IS plenty of interest out there for MYTHIC level play. (I agree that "mythic" sounds and feels much better than "epic.") ![]()

Cos--Never mind; I found the "change shipping address button" myself. ![]()
![]() OK, Cosmo--apparently the offender is back.
For now, I suppose the best thing to do is to change the mailing address for all my subscriptions and shipments. Is that something I can do or do I need to beg you for help? :D ![]()

If you don't mind, I will keep you updated as the path continues. Thank all involved for a great product.... ![]()
![]() Is there any way to use a sturdier packaging for the Carrion Crown books? My first volume came bent and twisted, including the spine, because of the "careful" handling of the postal worker. I don't know if an additional couple pieces of thing cardboard would help, or if a thicker or padded envelope may be the solution. Any thoughts or viable solutions? --Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() HELP! A few years ago WotC had a corny little Christmas adventure wherein the PCs explored the Northern Castle of Nicholas the Giftgiver. They also statted up "the chest of misfit toys." The adventure included a link to the WotC Forums, supposedly with stats for the Tangled Christmas Lights Golem. Unfortunately, the link on the WotC Forums is broken; the stats are no longer there. Does someone, somewhere, out there possibly have the stats to this creature? It's just screaming for a Christmas Eve adventure for my kids. Any help is appreciated! ![]()

Great suggestions.... Now, how do I find the old issues of Dungeon? I really like the sound of Pearlman's Curiosity but of course, no .pdf available for that issue. And no, my local game store does not have back issues. Dang it. And Saint_Meerkat: I appreciate those suggestions as well. I'll have to do some research into the arc you suggest. Now, maps anybody? Any other suggestions for maps/tiles? ![]()

I wouldn't recommend the Richard Pett creepiness as is for an 8-13 year old, but the map should be exactly what you're looking for. You could probably tone down the horror and create a kid-friendly mission then use all the same stat blocks. This sounds perfect; is the map 1" scale suitable for miniatures? Louis Agresta wrote:
Again, some excellent ideas. Thanks! ![]()
![]() I am going to be running an adventure for some children (mine and friends') between the ages of 8 and 13. I need some help, though, from the community at large. What I would prefer is a 3.5e first level adventure that centers, in part, around a farmhouse or farm. Y'see, I've got several of the new WotC scarecrow minis I just CAN'T wait to use. The problem is that I need a map, at least, if not a full blown adventure. (I could probably work up an adventure on my own, if I need to, but I really really need the map.) Any suggestions you may have for pre-made maps or map-tiles would be appreciated. ![]()

![]() @xdahnx -- I agree with Abraham. Very nice idea. @ Bill -- After some perusal of the DMG and the Epic Level Handbook, I'm leaning towards your idea. A mixture of yours and xdahnx's ideas may just be the thing. I'm open to any other ideas, though. Our game's been postponed several weeks, so I have time before the item is introduced. Thanks to all those who've already given input. ![]()
![]() @Abraham: Agreed. These players are actually quite cunning and imaginative and I'm sure will eventually find a way to identify this item. That's why it needs to work within the game mechanics. @SmiloDan: If you knew my players, you'd understand. Each of us that DMs likes our practical jokes, and the players eat them up. We're odd like that.

I like those.... but I'm really looking for something that is simply unidentifiable, and does absolutely nothing. ![]()

I seem to remember seeing some Games Workshop miniatures that were of dead minis. Seems to me they were Brettonians, laying on their face or back in various poses of disarray. May not be exactly what you are looking for, but a good coat of paint might do wonders.... You could try looking there. ![]()
![]() I need a good red herring for my characters. Something that will drive them batty, but not prove a great distraction -- just something that will gnaw at them. Here's the situation: they're about to come up against a lich. He's got some minor magic items (I don't want to weigh the party members down, after all). I want him to have in his possession an amulet fashioned with a glowing black pearl. Here's what I want: I want the amulet to show as magical, but to remain unidentifiable to Identify spells and Spellcraft checks. Again, I don't want to drive them to distraction, but just give them something that they carry along with them to puzzle them every time they look at their character sheets. Maybe even some similar effect masking another, possibly sinister, effect? This isn't as important to me as the above, "practical joke" effect. I thought about using Misdirection, made Permanent, but I'm not sure it has the right "feel" to it. Any help would be appreciated.... ![]()
![]() I'm currently preparing to run the Siege of the Spider Eaters from Dungeon #137...but I have the dilemma of having no miniatures. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good stand-in or facsimile for a spider-eater? Any assistance would be appreciated. Oh, yeah.... I need it ASAP, too! My players are anxious to get started.
