Garan takes a mop and starts swabbing the deck.

As he works, he asks the kobold "What do ye mean, penance?".

Garan looked over at the kobold, sighing, "You're not a BLEEPing bard, are ye?"

Garan seems a bit more quiet than usual, possibly from lack of sleep.

sorry, I've been moved around a bit the last month or so.

"So, lessee, we're goin east, which is a BLEEPing long voyage on a row boat, instead of intentionally getting scuttled by pirates? I mean, it's not like we don't already know their intentions, so why not ambush em and take their ship?"

So who's next on the rowing order?

Ok, since I had a few minutes, do you think we should secure the oars to the boat? Or do we need them for the Sailor's checks? I'm just thinking that if we lose the oars but save the dinghy, we are screwed, but if the boat is gone, what good are the oars doing us anyways?

"BLEEPing gods of the sea! Quit playing with me BLEEPing dinghy!"

I screwed up the first rolls, put a , instead of a ; to seperate them, so I rolled again. Failed everything except the str check to hang onto the oars.

"OOOOH BLEEEEEEP!!" Garan shouts as he is thrown from the boat, taking the oars into the water with him.

Garan readies an action to drink his potion if he starts to drown. Swim check=8. Yeah, I suck at rolls today.

Does the storm hit?

"Arioch, what sorta BLEEPing critters can we be expectin' if one of us falls into the BLEEPing drink?"

When it is Garan's turn to roll: 1d20+3=14

Ok, who didn't take swim as a skill?

"I'll take one, thanks," Garan says, but then hesitates, and asks, "can ya err...warm it up a bit?"

Eyeing the storm, Garan will eat his fish, then begin removing most of his armor, grumbling all the while. He'll then begin lashing himself to the boat, and begin fingering a corked potion bottle.

Garan etches the name "Abigail" in Dwarven runes onto his Axe.

"Oh, and I won't be forgetting them, I got me a BLEEPing axe to grind."

Anyone? Acid Etching? So I can so a really cool and heroic throw away line?

Garan looks around "anyone know how to etch a name on steel?"

"What's the name of the BLEEPing ship?" Garan asks.

Garan whispers to his co-conspiritors:

Garan leans over to Nimm and whispers

After Nimm answers, Garan looks at Arioch, nods, and tilts his head toward the ship, and begins unstoppering the potion bottle that hangs round his neck.

Alright, definitely punching a hole in the boat as we leave. Who's with me?!

Garan looks at Nimm and Finn conspiritorally.

Garan looks at Arioch.

Dwarven:

"Right, so setting us adrift in a dinghy with no supplies in the middle of the ocean is not murder, but cutting a hole in their boat is?"

To Sanura: "Oh, you know, potion of water breathing, hole below the water line, no till, that sort of thing usually sends them to the bottom."

Whispering to everyone else in the (dinghy?): "What say we have one last laugh at them?"

Garan puts his hand on Sanura's arm, "It's a'right, lass, we'll be fine. Those BLEEPs woulda worked us to BLEEPing death. Oh, and now it's going to sink tommorrow."

Garan gets ready to leave.

"Your a BLEEPing fool Quick, but at least we won't be getting our BLEEPs keelhauled."

Garan eyes the Bosun warily, waiting for any indication he is going to strike, but moves back approximately 5 feet.

"Woulda been fun."

Turns to Nimm "What the BLEEP took so long?!"

Not too terribly afraid of falling into water, I have a potion of water breathing, and yes, I probably miscalculated some of my skills. Does an unarmed strike provoke AoO? I have combat reflexes

Garan spends his round beating the BLEEP out of the Bosun, and he readies an action to draw his axe in case things start getting lethal.

No worries there, man, just use your fists only...unless they start whipping out weapons, then Garan will taunt them into a fist fight anyways. Can't beat a pissed dwarf with combat reflexes in a fist fight (each unarmed strike provokes attacks of oppurtunity, just think of the imagery).

Don't think you'll have much of a choice there. Ever been in a bar fight? No one escapes unpunched. Also: wuss.:p

Garan, whose "fight" was merely a ploy to instigate the Bosun, takes a swing at him as he bullrushes Nimm.

As he swings, Garan yells "Ah, well, guess I'll be taking both then!"

"Manatee..." Garan rumbles, then turns on Nimm "How dare you insult the Bosun, no matter how much a piece o' BLEEP he is! Why, he's almost someone important on this ship! You know what," He says, giving a quick glance at the Bosun, "I'll give ya a choice: Head or Gut?"

So if we straight up brawl with these guys or mutiny, we're not derailing it? Just didn't want to f-up your first pbp.

"BullBLEEP!" Garan says to Quentin, "I cut the damn rope!"

He gives the Bosun a glare, "Sir, I's the one that done it!"

If one person takes the blame, we'll still get punished, but if all of us take the blame...

Whats the penalty again for taking the blame? Need to know in detail
EDIT: NVM, thanks to wikipedia, I now know what keelhauling is. Ouch.

Garan trudges back to work in the bilge, hoping to get it done quickly so he can go to sleep. His hangover is BLEEPing killing him.

"A'right, lets get this BLEEP over with." He grumbles.

You too Finn? Guess 7s the lucky number today.

Garan stops, hearing the commotion (although not clearly), and rolls his eyes.

"That's what ye BLEEPing get for asking stupid BLEEPing questions." Garan sighs, "I'll be back, don't want the pansy ta get himself killed."

Garan begins to slowly trudge up the stairs, trying to stay out of eyesight and still hear things going on.

While breaking up the ice and putting it in a bucket, Garan looks for anything of value.

Lyn, can you roll for me? I don't like invisible castle.

"Ye didn't market that BLEEP! to that half-orc, did ye?"

*Garan is watching for progress with the ice, but, from the look on his face, maybe a hose of ICE wasn't what he was referring to.

"I prolly shulda said 'tube', bloody BLEEP!ing wizard's wasting a spell."

"'S a'right Nimm, you got nuthin to worry about."

"Well, you could clean it through 'ard work, I think I'm going to say we cheat."

Garan starts looking for a hose-like object..

Do I need to roll for that?

Upon hearing that he is assigned to Bilge duty, the almost permanent scowl he bears deepens a bit more.

"A'right, bilge duty 'tis then."

Garan trudges towards the bilge, grumbling slightly under his breath.

Let's say that all the character building we did on the discussion board was done here for the 5 or so minutes while we were gathering up our personal items? Oh, also, didn't mean to post ooc...sorry, not used to pbp.

"Yer curious? Can't wait to find out what yer indentured servitude is gonna be like, eh?"

Garan scowls as the bosun gives his little speech, his scowl deepening at the words "two years".

He cocks EDIT:penised? an eye at Fineal, notes the idle chatter from Quentin and Nimm, but decides not to make conversation.

He stretches, resigning himself to two more miserable years at sea.
