Background:

Born and raised on the fringes of the great forest just to the south of the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, when Galfellow came of age he swore himself to the Wildwood Watch for the next three decades. Patrolling the small communities of fey creatures on the north edge of the forest, Galfellow trained how to fight alongside loyal animal helpers to face both feral beast and hostile trespassers in the forest. By the end of his service he had gained the name 'The Wild Wolfrider' amongst some of the nearby Ulfen towns.

After his promised time of service Galfellow took the opportunity of a local gate to the First World opening during a winter solstice to cross over and see his racial homeland. What he found was a land of chaos and change he was unprepared for, a place he couldn't think of as a home for any length of time. His forbears had lived in the great wood for so long they had lost much of their fey callings, leaving him lost and bewildered. Quickly returning before the gate closed, he said goodbye to several compatriots who decided to stay and explore.

Left without a purpose for the first time in his adult life, and with itching feet after the failed start of his adventure, Galfellow made a decision. Instead of exploring another world he would explore his current one. Travelling up to the top of the world, he attached himself to an expedition heading across the icy Top over to Tian Xia. Leaving the caravan haflway through, he followed a local guide until they reached the North Pole. Heading back out of the icy wastes, Galfellow made his way back over the mountains and into the Land of the Linnorm Kings, giving his home a wide birth and sticking to the coastlines.

Throughout all of these travels he was accompanied by one faithful follower, the wolf Eculai who had served as his mount and companion in the Watch and now as his travelling companion. Passing out of the Linnorm kingdoms and into the lands of Varisia, Galfellow saw his first truly great wonder in the Arch of Riddleport. Deciding he wanted to see more of these amazing, ancient artifacts and the natural wonders of the world as well, he rededicated himself to the road, travelling Varisia to see all that it had to offer.

Appearance and Personality:

In most communities Galfellow might be mistaken for a 'normally' colored halfling, but iwith his Gnomish brethren he has skin the color of a field of snow and hair of fresh, healthy earth. Wearing the simple armoured coat of a Wildwood Watchgnome, he is distinguishable by his oak-carved full helm and matching lances. His wolf companion, Eculai, wears sleek and oiled wooden armour as well emblazoned with the crest of the Wildwood Watch (a tree with eyes) on each side.
