Knights Code: Will not take flanking bonus, but can, by virtue of position, confer this bonus to others. Taking the bonus violates the code.

Violating the code results in loss of one use of the Knights Challenge for the day.

Knights Challenge: Usable CHA bonus + 1/2 character level per day. You can use these abilities even if the foe does not share your language.
Fighting Challenge Swift action, challenge a single opponent (INT > 4, language, CR > ECL-3). If the enemy does not meet these requirments, this use of the challenge is wasted for the day. Gain +1 to Will saves, attack and damage rolls for CHA bonus+5 rounds. If enemy reduces you to 0 or fewer hp, lose 2 uses of Knights Challenge for the day. Usable more than once per encounter, but cannot challenge a new foe if original foe is still active.

Galen grew up in a small ranching village south of Mema-Nova. Orphaned as a youth in one of the "small" raids from Durado, Galen and his sister Myra were taken in by a local innkeeper, him as a stableboy and her as a serving wench (though her big brother prevented the other actvities associated with that job...no telling what has happened since he left). There were a few sore heads and sore egos when he left town to join the Gileadan army.
His affininity with the horses gained him a place with the cavalry, and he was eventually admitted to the Gileadan Swordstars, where he learned to focus on the most dangerous enemy on the field in order to protect his fellow soldiers, along with a code of conduct most warriors find foolhardy, if not explicitly asking for death.
His final posting was with the Keepers Dale militia, and his enlistment ended yesterday.
