Woden nods. "We have a ways to go. Get some rest and I shall wake you when we arrive."

After you finish eating, Woden gives you a little time to gather your belongings before departing. As you leave Bruldora and Galdur's home, the female dwarf gives each of you a hug. Woden leads you to the river where he calls upon a boat with a dragon's head at the fore. He helps each of you aboard before walking to the rear to steer. The boat takes off, slowly at first before picking up speed. Your surroundings shift from dark cave walls to stars, planets and galaxies. Suddenly, you feel tired, as if this journey had already taken days.

Bruldora comes back with plates of sweet rolls, eggs, crispy bacon, shredded potatoes and fruit.

Bruldora gets out of her seat. "I better get breakfast made so you can be on your way."

Galdur gets up as well. "I'll help her out."

Woden smiles at the group. "So, first, I will take you to where your friends are, Jerrica. We will stay there for a night before we go to where the call came from."

"Two silver," she replies.

The girl searches around and pulls out a thin gold chain. "I think this would work."

The girl waves her hand. "Nothing."

She nods at Dagmarr. "Her and her friends saved my life."

"Oh, yeah, I have those right here," the girl says, pulling out a box with two silver necklaces, each bearing a heart that would interlock with the other.

Rosa and Dagmarr enter the blacksmith's shop. The blacksmith works on something on his anvil, while his daughter sits at the counter. "Hello. How can we help you?"

The seamstress smiles at the couple. "That'll be a gold."

The dwarf nods toward a couple of stalls at the rear of the store. "Right over there, dear."

The tailor smiles as Rosa and Dagmarr enter her shop. "Welcome back. I have your order ready. Would you like to try them on and see if they fit?"

Bruldora nods. "See you when you get back."

"It was no trouble at all," Bruldora says. "But I'll wait to start breakfast when Rosa and Dagmarr return. It's best when hot."

"When you are ready, I shall take you to your destination," Woden says.

"This isn't my choice," Woden replies. "Aye, Dagmarr, our ways are only upheld by a few."

He produces a golden token, bearing a triskelion. "This will keep your connection to her strong, Dagmarr. But do not lose it, for it can never be replaced."

Woden nods. "I will let her know. I will guide you to this other world and there our paths shall diverge."

"Your destiny is in your hands," Woden says. "My presence on that world is diminished, the old ways long forgotten. If you so desire to follow this call, I will find others to aid me. Perhaps none that I like as much as I like you six, but some heroes nonetheless."

"That is a bit much to answer, but, suffice it to say, that your friends and families as you know them are not there," Woden answers. "Also, if I were to take you there, you would no longer have my protection nor can Corrie travel there."

"Some of you have a connection to the world the call came from," Woden says. "Your friends, Derika and Vishanti, live there now."

He then looks at Frostine and Thorgr. "It is much like your old home, but it is slightly different. As for Sigdrifa, Rosa and Dagmarr, I know not why you have received the call but perhaps it is because of the bonds between the six of you."

"To answer your first question, I can remove it from stasis if you so wish," Woden answers. "I did that so that it would present less danger to you and your baby. As for the second, I did not send that dream. It seems that something or someone calls to you from another world."

He strokes his beard. "However, it is your choice to answer that call or not."

"Then ask what is on your mind," Woden says as Bruldora brings him some coffee.

Once you all head downstairs, you find Woden seated at the dining table. "Good morning."

As you sleep, you all have the same dream:

You see rolling green hills which eventually flatten into fertile fields. Men, women and children till the fields, planting seeds and watering the sprouts of crops. The scene changes to that of a tall cathedral sitting at the edge of a quaint village. You see masons still working on the spires as a group of men in shiny armor, paladins as far as you can tell, seem to celebrate. A woman with black wings against her back smiles at one of the paladins, who waves at her. You see she is holding the hand of a young child.

The scene fades and returns. The green hills are yellowing and the fields are full of crops. Suddenly, a young child is cut down by a black garbed man sitting atop a ebon stallion. You cannot hear the screams but you see men and women falling in great numbers in the fields, the soil stained with blood. The scene continues with a great number of black garbed horsemen heading toward the cathedral. The same child you saw earlier, older now, stands at the doorway of the structure. The paladins, the black winged woman among them, fight them off. Several paladins fall to the horsemen's blades before they are driven away.

The scene fades again. Now the green hills are brown and the fields are sparse. Only a handful of haggard looking people work in the fields. A farmer raises a handful of soil and you see that it is dry. The cathedral has fallen into disrepair, though it still stands. You see black garbed men come from the shadows and set the cathedral ablaze. Five paladins, the black winged woman still among them, fight a desperate battle. In the end, only the black winged woman remains. She reaches out to the child, even older now, standing behind some rain barrels, but he turns away.

Once again, the scene fades. Through the snow, you see the hills are now black, the fields are dead. The black winged woman appears to be toiling in the field alone, but you see she is actually digging a grave. With tears in her eyes, she sets a man in tarnished armor in the hole and pauses, muttering something. She then covers the man before turning away. You see her head to what is left of the cathedral, no more than a pile of stones. The woman tears a necklace off, it appears to be a holy symbol of some sort. With fury you could almost feel, she throws the necklace down on the remaining steps of the cathedral and it shatters. She looks around for a moment and sees that she is alone. Falling to her knees, the woman looks up to the sky and cries again.

The dream ends.

Alright, I think I have something in mind. When Rosa and Dagmarr go to bed, I'll introduce my idea.

The recent site outages have kind of killed my enthusiasm for this game and I've kind of had dwindling interest in the story itself...I'd really not like to banish these characters into limbo, so any suggestions?

*tap, tap, tap*

The dwarf smiles and takes the pie toward the kitchen. "I suppose I'll have a piece since it's fresh. Galdur's just going to have to miss out."

Bruldora smiles. "Why, thank you. I'm sorry that Galdur's asleep right now...but I'll tell him you bought this for us. We appreciate your generosity."

Bruldora looks up from the table. "I am, but Galdur's gone to bed."

The dwarf doesn't seem to catch Frostine's meaning, but waves as she heads off to tend to customers again.

"Two silver," the server answers.

After a while, the dwarf brings Frostine and Thorgr their pie. "Sorry it took so long."

Frostine and Thorgr wait for about fifteen minutes before a table opens up. The dwarf brings a pitcher of water and some glasses to the newlyweds.

"Of course," the dwarf answers, heading off to tend to the customers.

"I can get one started for you, but it'll be about two hours before it's ready," the dwarf says.

The female dwarf at the counter smiles at Frostine. "Whatcha need? It'll be a few minutes for a table."

The tavern is as lively as it could possibly be in this small town when Thorgr and Frostine enter.

The dwarf smiles. "Oh, it's the least we can do for those who want to help."

The shopkeeper thinks for a moment. "Eh, it's not easy for them...Honestly, I think a pie from the tavern would be as good a gift as any."

The dwarf smiles as Frostine and Thorgr walk in. "Evening. What can I do for you?"

After you finish eating, Bruldora cleans up the table and Galdur washes the dishes.

Galdur nods again. "I'm sure Woden would not do anything that would harm your little one."

Bruldora passes out bowls of hearty stew and puts a basket of bread in the middle. Galdur helps out by bringing pitchers of water, lemonade and ale before fetching tankards for everyone.

Bruldora gives Frostine a wan smile. "I will miss you all and I'm sorry we didn't get to know you a little more, Rosa."

Galdur nods in agreement. "Being chosen by Woden to help him isn't an easy task, but know that he wouldn't pick just anyone."

Woden finishes his drink. "Then I shall return tomorrow."

He gives Bruldora a smile before he gets up and leaves.

Woden explains the situation to Dagmarr and Rosa. "When do you think you will be ready?"

"Whenever you are ready," Woden replies. "Where are Rosa and Dagmarr?"

Woden doesn't know what to make of Frostine's reply so he drinks more of his ale.

Woden shakes his head. "No. It is nearly time for you to leave this place and journey to another world. Firstly, Heimdall had been abducted from Helheim whilst you were saving Hel. We still require his aid to traverse the other worlds. He is held captive in the dark elves' city along with the dwarven captives. I will take you to where they are held. You must take it from there. Fear not, Heimdall will be of much help in your escape from the dark elves and in keeping them where they reside so that they will not trouble this town again."

Thorgr, Frostine, Sig and Jerrica descend the stairs to find Woden seated at the table drinking a tankard of ale with Galdur as Bruldora sets the table. Woden smiles at the four of you and gestures for you to sit.
