I did another pre-order and moved one item off the pre-order onto the current order. Just checking it didn't mess anything up for shipping purposes and that my credit card hasn't been billed yet for the existing order. I'm expecting to be billed 50.99 USD when Beyond the Rim and the dice set ship, and that the dice set will be shipped with Beyond the Rim, not Enter the Unknown? Is this correct? Additionally has Paizo received their copies of Beyond the Rim and will it be shipping soon? Thanks!

"Let's continue the hunt then!", Wolverine says hopping back into the truck they "borrowed" and starting it up. Once everyone gets back into the truck, Wolverine sends it flying down the road to the drop off point Emma identified. Stepping out the truck Wolverine sniffs the air trying to catch any trace of Nitro's scent, looking closely at the ground off the road for any footprints possibly left by Nitro, hopefully not too obscured by weather and time. Team 1d8 ⇒ 7
Total: 14, Effect: 1d8 "We're coming to make you pay for your sins Nitro, and it ain't gonna be pretty.", Wolverine mutters before turning back to the group, "We don't have any time left, lets find this scum!"
Male
"Damn, we must have missed him jumping out the truck. Emma any ideas where in Big Sur Nitro was dropped off?", Logan asks before unsheathing his claws, "Or I could just ask the driver 'politely', either way we don't have much time before that bill is passed." Logan considers how lucky it is that Big Sur is so sparsely populated. It will reduce the collateral damage for capturing Nitro. Is it possible Nitro is hiding there for just that reason? Sorry I was off the radar doing some sailing all of last week. Back in the land of the internet again.
Male
"We don't need another explosion, lets scout around quickly, make sure Nitro really isn't in the area, but before that," Wolverine stalks over to the pickup truck Nitro arrived in, slashing all four tires with his claws, "Just a little bit of property damage to ensure our prey doesn't leave the party early."
Male
Wolverine sniffs the air following the scent forward along the road, "He went this way but he's gained some distance on us. I doubt devil-boy will be able to keep jumping at the pace we require to catch up, who's up for borrowing a car?" Logan starts casing the street for a likely looking empty vehicle to continue the pursuit.
Male
"Let's stop wasting our time here, I'm eager to catch up with Nitro and show him the error of his ways!" Wolverine takes up the offered hand gripping Nightcrawler's forearm, "Nitro hopped into a pickup truck on the eastern edge of the blast zone. Jump us onto McMurphy Road just out of sight of the police and I should be able to pick up his trail and follow him from there." My apologies for making up irrelevant details like road names, just sounds better then saying "where I was standing earlier"
Male
Logan fixes the scent in his mind before quietly slipping back to where Emma and Hank are. "It would seem Nitro survived and ran away like the rat he is," Wolverine mutters under his breath, "I've got his scent, he got into a pickup truck, but it may take some time to track him down. Are you interested in joining in?"
Male
Ducking under the crime scene tape, Wolverine takes in the initial blast zone. The devastation seems massive. "Where did you go from here Nitro?", Wolverine thinks to himself before picking over the area, seemingly guided more by his incredible senses then any investigative skills. Wolverine scouts for any clues Nitro might have left behind when he fled (if he fled and didn't disintegrate)

Logan surveys the landscape that's been left a wasteland from Nitro's explosion. His jaw clenches, "When I find you Nitro, I'm going take you apart!" Logan then makes his way over the rubble heading for Ground Zero and attempts to duck under the crime scene tape with hopefully no interference from the Government lackeys. I presume with the transition scene and Beast's healing I can wipe out my physical stress?
Male
"Those kids are going to end up in a load of trouble one day," Wolverine grumbles before turning back to Fury's men, "I suggest putting a sock in Crusader's mouth before he prattles your ear off about saving your souls. Send my regards to Fury." Wolverine approaches the surviving FBI agents, "Keeping in mind we saved your skins, tell your bosses that the X-Men can only react so quickly by not being tied down by bureaucratic strings. I expect we can let you handle getting the money into the right hands." Walking away without so much as a goodbye Logan strides towards the Blackbird, "Coming Emma or do you want to watch more of that kids TV show?"
Male
Since initiative is removed Wolverine climbs to his feet, bleeding from his head and stumbles into the cockpit. "Get out of the way you blue fuzzball! You are going to get us all killed!", he snarls before shoving Hank out the seat and grabbing the controls. Wolverine wrestles with the newly repaired controls attempting to pull the plane out of its nose dive with a combination of strength and skill. This reminds him vaguely of that incident in Korea 1957 when his Mustang was shot down. Team 1d8 ⇒ 5

Wolverine gets an instant headache and a gash across the top of his head from the blow but the shield smashes back with force into Crusader. Will post my action after I hear what happens to Crusader :-P

Wolverine rolls straight into the framework supporting a chair arresting his motion, the shield then impacts with the back of his head knocking him senseless for a moment. However he recovers quickly bruises already fading into non-existence as he regains his feet. "You are really asking for it now! Lets see how long your religion can protect your ugly hide." Wolverine snarls, before leaping back into the fray, his right hand and claw carving the air as it descends towards Crusader's face. Team 1d8 ⇒ 3

Wolverine twists to the side attempting to avoid the kick. Team 1d8 ⇒ 5
Total: 10, Effect Die: d10. Spending 1PP to use Adamantium Skeleton SFX and convert the kick to a Weapon X stunt for my abuse. Wolverine grunts as the kick connects with him, his adamantium bones are unyielding enough to allow him to grab Crusader's leg in the process. While falling Wolverine swings Crusader by the leg around him attempting to separate sword from knight by bashing him along the airplane wall before ending up on his back in the aisle. Team 1d8 ⇒ 8

Too slow, Crusader's sword bites deep into Wolverine's side but the wound heals quickly, skin and muscle knitting up before Crusader's eyes, the lost droplets of blood being pulled back within. "You will pay for that!", Wolverine snarls before renewing his attack, seemingly reckless and uncaring for the federal agents who may be caught in the collateral damage. Team 1d8 ⇒ 7

Wolverine attempts to sidestep Beast's arm his berserk rage rising, "Get out of my way Hank or I'll make sure you regret it. That zealot won't listen to a word you say!" Wolverine eyes Crusader over Hank's arm a low growl rising from him his throat. I believe I should reap some XP harvest for threatening Hank with violence?

Wolverine sneaks up to the guards while they are being distracted by Emma. His sense of honor and a fair fight having to take a backseat for the time being, he reaches one hand around each of their heads and attempts to slam them together. Buddy 1d6 ⇒ 5

Wolverine helps Emma across the last section of the bridge, "Your late, Crusader's goons already managed to pacify the Fed's. I was hoping they would put up more of a fight." He then unhooks the restrainers attached to him and moves quickly to the entrance of the cargo hold, "Time to start our own little inflight emergency." His claws slide out with a metallic scream.
Male
"Seems Crusader has started converting the locals, I hope your ready Emma." Wolverine grits his teeth, takes a strong hold on the cargo retaining strap, and attempts to open the hatch from the controls. In case you need a roll to avoid being flung out by the loss of cabin pressure and/or smashing controls until the door opens. Solo 1d10 ⇒ 4

Wolverine waits until he hears the sound of battle starting above, he hopes that Crusader's bible bashers will make enough noise to cover his movements as he climbs out of the crate he's hiding in. Once he's out of the crate, he fastens a cargo restraining strap to his belt and moves silently towards the cargo hatch controls while looking about the cargo hold for any observers. Solo 1d10 ⇒ 7

"I just happen to have an old friend who can maybe help us out on the sneaking portion. Rat-face Robbie, a small time smuggler who has contacts across most the major airports. I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw him, but he owes me a favour for not clawing his face off the last time I ran into him. He should be able to get one of us onboard as some contraband cargo." I spend my 1PP to to add a D6 resource die (crime expert makes more sense in this case then covert master), Rat-face Robbie. Watcher feel free to boot me down if I'm adding anything you don't want to the story. Also I'm not sure I'm reading the resource in transition scene thing right, hopefully I did it correctly. Who'd have though Wolverine is really good at sneaking, Covert Master!!!
Male
"Why not? It's worked before." Wolverine turns to Beast, "Your supposed to be the intelligent one, why don't you whip up something that will help us out. Also since Emma doesn't think I can pull off being one of Crusader's church boys with any conviction, how about I just sneak aboard the Fed plane in a crate while you shadow it in the Black Bird. When the hijacking goes down I will cut my away out of the crate, open the cargo door of the plane, and you guys can jump out of the Black Bird while I catch?" I was hoping Beast could whip up some grappling hooks with his techmastery to use as a resource. I'd make a covert resource but I've got no PP's having just started.

Not sure about Crusaders alliegence so let me know and I will edit if I get this wrong. "Who knows where he stands on it, but one thing I do know is if we let him jack a Federal Treasury plane its going to make things a whole lot more difficult around here for us." Logan taps his knuckles that house his adamantine claws, "I for one don't care for giving the government any control over me seeing as they were responsible for more then enough trouble in my life. Stopping Crusader will prevent them using the theft as leverage over us.
If canon says the Asmodean church is the big respected church in the area, then I think it was the right decision to try get players to work for them. Nothing stopping the spokesperson for the church being very charming and using the "think of the poor orphans" line to get the players hooked. Also supporting this is that in character knowledge will acknowledge that the Asmodeans aren't all that bad (in the loosest sense of the word). They want to live in a lawful society just like everyone else even if they have their own selfish reasons. I think even a zealous paladin can lean towards helping the orphans BEFORE taking on the church which is state sponsored and rightfully there.
Tengus are cool and the fluff on this one fits right in with Japanese legends of the Tengu. Particularily the older legends before the beak was replaced with the nose. Just a thought to those who don't like the fact that this specific to Tengus only. What's stopping any other race being trained by the Tengu and adapting a gauntlet into a beak like weapon? I think this archetype shows vision and creativity beyond just adapting something already seen before into an archetype structure. Hope you make it to the next round Jerall. |
