About Future Iron Gods toon

Background:

Nebraska is searching for her Mother's lost research, all the while compiling her own, mapping out ruins, and seeking revenge on a human raiding tribe she knows little about.

A few years back Nebraska was with her Mother returning to a site they were forced to abandon due to regional war, research and all. The violence had passed a month later and on their way back they a tribe raided them at night. Nebraska was able to hide and evade the attack, but her Mother died in the slaughter along with the aides aides and other scholars. Over the next few weeks she lived off the land and traveled alone to the site. She was emotionally broken, in shock, and untrusting of all people. Though camping and hunting had always been a part of her life, perpetually moving from one dig site to another, Nebraska found she had an amazing knack at it. Especially when underground, growing up in cave systems and ruins gave her amazing intuition when moving through them.

Once she got to site she found it had been raided. Nebraska spent a long time there re-excavating alone and mapping the ruins system. Still, with a pathetic fraction of the information that had been raided or destroyed, Nebraska headed out alone to continue her Mother's research and avenge her pain on the tribes that had wronged her.

Appearance:

Nebraska is a thin, lanky, and would be an attractive woman if she took a bath. She has pale skin from being underground for the majority of her recent years, though she usually looks tan because she is covered in dirt, and has odd electric blue hair. She wears a baggy one-piece dirt colored suit that has many pockets that is reinforced with a leather vest, bracers, and leg covers for protection. She has an old scarf of faded white and simple eye goggles that commonly sit back in her hair for dust protection when digging.

Personality:

She has been on her own for awhile, causing her to talk to herself and lose some of her social skills. She makes weird faces while she reacts to things and wears her her heart on her sleeve. Ironically, though she may be emotionally vulnerable, she does not trust anyone without properly vetting them. Nebraska is quite honest and will not hesitate to tell factual truths to someone despite how it will effect them. Though this is not out of some meditated cruelty, she is kind and empathetic with people and creatures if she develops trust with them, and can be a bit of a rambler when she speaks and is prone to tangents.
