Duncan's Longflame Pattern Flamer on mission
The Barrel of this flamer is a good foot longer then the average pattern. This one seems to have fallen on hard times and although it fires the mechant clearly didn't know what he had. Though a somewhat tempermental weapon you discover it's gouts of flame have a longer reach than expected, rivaling those of a heavy flamer in the area covered but not the actual damage put out. Though the machine spirit seems somewhat delicate they somehow allow more pressure in a continued burst to catch those heretics who think they are safely out of reach!

combat priorities
1- Find cover. A dead guardsman is a useless guardsman.
2-Rouse the lads to greater acts in the service of the emperor.
3- Maintain a careful watch on enemies about to rush us and overwatch with the flamer when I can.
4- Pull downed comrades out of harm’s way, preferably towards the medic.
5-Don’t be afraid to withdraw if needed, the Emperor gave us counter attack tactics for a reason.
6-Back your squadmate up when in hand to hand, we outnumber the unrighteous, let’s use that.
Havelock Tunt is the third son of a noble family. Brought up knowing he would not inherit the family estate he wanted to join the Imperial Guard as an officer cadet but his family refused. With the second son already serving the Imperium in the navy Havelock was told he would be taking holy orders. With no choice in the matter he was sent to a monastery to begin his training. His studies included martial skill at arms as standard which only intensified his need to fight for the Imperium, not just to preach. When his studies had been completed he volunteered to serve in a Guard regiment as a Chaplin. His family couldn’t interfere with his decision as part of the ecclesiarchy but instead gave him a family heirloom brought back by his great grandfather, an archaic metal suit of armour.
His service in the Raneyeen 314th Regiment of Foot during the siege defence of the hive world earned him the gratitude of the officers and admiration of the guardsmen serving in the frontline trenches as Fr. Tunt would move up and down the front line during barrages to encourage the guardsmen to hold the line in the face of the traitors shelling them. He would wear his armour, now outfitted with the Brazier of St. Roberto to be better seen by the men and women in the haze of dust during the day and the darkness of the night.
His exploits in the front lines, which included defending the line during attacks which he “..just happened to be there for..” brought the attention of a passing Interrogator and with the siege winding down due to a new Imperial offensive Fr. Tunt was made a new offer to serve the Imperium.
