SPECIAL ABILITIES
----------------------------------------

Spirit of the Waters: Some elves have adapted to life in tune with the sea or along the reedy depths of wild rivers and lakes. They gain a +4 racial bonus on Swim checks, can always take 10 while swimming, and may choose Aquan as a bonus language. They are proficient with longspear, trident, and net. This racial trait replaces elven magic and weapon familiarity.

Keen Senses: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.

Elven Immunities: Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Rogues are proficient with all simple weapons, plus the hand crossbow, rapier, sap, shortbow, and short sword. They are proficient with light armor, but not with shields.

Hidden Blade
A knife master adds 1/2 her level on Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal a light blade.

This ability replaces trapfinding.

Sneak Stab (Ex)

A knife master focuses her ability to deal sneak attack damage with daggers and similar weapons to such a degree that she can deal more sneak attack damage with those weapons at the expense of sneak attacks with other weapons. When she makes a sneak attack with a dagger, kerambit, kukri, punching daggers, starknife, or swordbreaker dagger, she uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks with all other weapons, she uses d4s instead of d6s.

This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability.

BACKGROUND
----------------------------------------
The Story So Far: Locke was born to a mysterious elven woman who had taken passage on a ship headed for Port Peril, she died giving birth to him on that very ship. Locke grew up as a forlorn on the streets of Port Peril. He became something of a fixture, juggled between different gangs and masters, kept for his deft hands and quick mind, but discarded for his heightened curiosity and ability to get into trouble. He has been many things over the years, but sailing the seas has always been his dream and he seizes any opportunity to be out on the ocean. His most recent occupation was as the apprentice to the cook on board a ship known as the Quickling. Locke's skill with knives made him a quick learner in the art of cooking and he found himself enjoying the trade, and for once he thought he might have found a place in the world. But his apprenticeship was to be short lived. Pirates assaulted the Quickling and Locke was the only survivor, reinforcing what everyone in Port Peril already knew, Locke was blessed by Besmara. Lost once more, Locke seeks to find his place in the world, and more importantly, on the seas.

Appearance: The locks on Locke's head have been snow white since the moment he was born and this look makes him easily recognizeable. He is taller than most, even other elves, and these long limbs contribute to his use of short bladed weapons.

Personality: Locke is an odd person, essentially being raised by many different types, criminals and citizens alike has made him have a very eccentric personality. But it also allows him to mix in many circles.
