I just want clarification, to make sure I'm not missing an update. If you have a group of level 2 players(all 2), can you play up one tier(3-4)?

It keeps referring to B-1, but I definitely do not have a map of it in my PDF(just purchased/downloaded 2 days ago so it should be up to date).

We play online using Map tools, so maps are something I need. Am I missing something, or did they just not map this part out? Sorry if I'm missing something, just started DMing pathfinder for friends and we are all new.

The Falconer gets his companion at level 1, albeit with half HPs until level 4.

Does this ranger have full progression on his companion? I would assume so since he can't have a companion at -3 effective level at level 1, and he loses his 6th level feat(I assume as a Boon Companion tax).

Otherwise his bird would progress in HD and Feats etc(with half HP)..then rewind at level 4 back to a first level companion, losing those feats etc. That doesn't seem right.

I just want to be sure before I commit to one as PFS character, since it's vague to me.
