Felixus turns to his companion. "Could you check to see if anyone else is coming, I want to check a couple of tricks I knew some other novices to do? "

DM, how do you want to handle this? Felixus is absolutely not going to check a trick or two, he's going to do something a Paladin might (probably) will find questionable. If it were an NPC I'd make a bluff check but it is a PC

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus looks at the spartan room. He quickly checks around the room looking for any religious items of devotion. He will also thump on the mattress and pillow to see if anything has been stuffed in either.
"This is weird." He says to Tamarie. "In all my years as a brother I have never known a monk's cell to be this spartan. They usually have icons, letters, mementos from home. But this is incredibly and hideously bare."

perception check if needed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Malvenos it is

" I thought we could use the distraction to start an investigation by ourselves. " Felixus hisses as the two make their way to Malvenos's quarters. "I'm deeply concerned that Ruan asked for help probably in front of the others, particularly as one of them probably stole the icons." Felixus continues. " So I thought if he's asking us in that we he really is clueless and hasn't conducted a search, or there is some bigger game afoot and I'm far too curious "

Feel free to narrate any occurrences on the way to this room, or describe the room.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus is going to head in the opposite direction heading for someones cell taking advantage of the distraction.
Malvenos or Ythel would be ideal, but Ruan if his cell is convenient.
Now that we have a distraction let's go looking for an icon. Somewhere someone might have left a clue.

Looking around and seeing none of the monks right where they are he will try to covertly signal Tamarie with a deft nod, wink and jerk of the head as a coded message to take the opportunity. Bluff to pass along message: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

If time or able he will grab his backpack however given the restriction on weapons he will leave his where he slept.

I'm not particularly fussed and the selection of cell will be dependent on ease of access now there is a disturbance.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus would like to retire, and muse on the situation. He will talk if needed. My instinctive approach would be to pray and see what happens but I'm easily persuaded if anyone else's character wants to plan something.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

do these monks wake in the night to pray?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

"So what you are saying is that none of them were underneath lock and key when the smaller icons went missing? And that this philandering reprobate made off with some, but not all of the icons? At least there is this small mercy "

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

if they were the smallet of a set perhaps it would help us go see the larger ones. Besides they sound like a deep treasure the viewing of which would enhance our faith

Felixus says as he thinks hypocrites, sitting up here accumulating gold and silver whilst not helping the poor. No wonder all the followers dispersed. Also why would a thief with access only take the smaller icons?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

sense motive on Tomas as to why he is so angry at a very reasonable question: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

What size are these icons? Are they identical, part of a set or separate?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

and this fool tells us and the suspects at dinner.
Gold and silver icons? How did this place come by such treasures?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

"Assuming that the meager few we encountered were in fact all of them and not just one raiding party of many." Felixus mutters darkly as he continues to consume his fairly tasteless soup.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus would prefer awkward silence to awkward ramblings. It seems like this monastery has 5 monks.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus is rather despondent this may not actually be a sign of the divine at all. He will try to keep these emotions from his face and eat in contemplative silence.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus's interest is raised, proof of the divine in some manner seems almost too good to be true. He will try to keep a steady face and eat in reverent silence at this stage.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus studies the four. are there really only four and the guests for diner? he thinks to himself.

He sits a little awkwardly not sure if he should volunteer to read the writings of the saint of the season or if the practice of reading whilst eating has fallen out of fashion here like so many other things seem to have.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus is ready. He's still up in the bell tower (assisting if possible).

I believe my question as to how musical the bell puller is being is still unanswered

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Is Tomas ringing the bells in a musical fashion or just one as fast as he can? If the tune looks like Tomas could do with assistance Felixus will help

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

If everyone has left him alone Felixus will have a gander up the bell tower to have a look around.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will continue to pray ignoring the conversation.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Is this the only chapel in this place? I'll take 10 on a knowledge(religion) or (local) for 19 or 15 to find out

Felixus will try to rehang the door and make some prayers whilst pondering the situation.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will noisy into the vestery and take a gander.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

I'll take a look in the small coffer. perception if needed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Do any of the prayer books or hymn books look as if they are from another religion (taking 10 for DC15 religion) ?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Just in case it was missed Felixus would like to pry around into the sacristy if nobody is around. If someone is I'm happy to keep praying.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

I'll take 10 for 15. (unless you will give any pluses for being a brother in the church of Darlen)

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will pray at the three statues in turn. If nobody is around he will stick his head into the sacristy and have a nosy. (Well more than a nosy).

How does Darleen interact with Pharasma then? If he's judging the dead in this picture.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus on the other hand is rather too proud for manual labor, and will locate a chapel to pray (or failing that a shrine, or holy statute, really anything except for manual labor).

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will bow graciously, kiss the curates ring, and leave to obey instructions.

whilst swearing about not being a wizard and wanting to keep his walking staff. With the long flowing white robes, and a heavy set of winter furs, is it still a sleight of hand check to carry a dagger underneath them? Also is a dagger armed, or is more like an accessory

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

I am Felixus Deonus. I am a brother of Darlen, and right now very very cold and hungry. We were meant to arrive yesterday

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Would you let a brother of Darlen freeze out here! Open the gate and let us in!" Flexius says. He tries to gesture to his white robes, but being under his winter gear the effort is unsuccessful.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Typical, to die in sight and sound of shelter, but unable to get in. Felixus mutters. Then upon hearing Agramayne shout he casts ghost sound .

The idea is to cast it as a warning siren noise as loud as possible. If there isn't such a sound, the loudest shout of 'help', focused right on the battlements will do.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will make a mad dash through the snow towards the building. If its a choice between dying the forest and possibly dying he's taking the later.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Bells! Thank Darlen, I am almost dying of the cold.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

It's too cold, no wonder the place has trouble attracting postulants. Who wants to freeze to death every year?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Cold, wet, wolves, and strangers. I should have journeyed elsewhere Felixus thinks as he prepares to march.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Read, waiting

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Even when logged in it says 'not authorized' so not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Emboldened by his previous success Felixus will let loose with another arrow. (at the injured one)

To hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 and damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

letting loose the arrow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 and if it hits 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Wooo! Smegged him! Felixus is useful in a combat situation!

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

DM:

Okay couple of rolls then, knowledge nature (I assume it's nature, if it's not, then there are the same pluses for my other knowledges)
knowledge: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

In the interest of speeding things up:

If I can recall a mating/gathering call of this type of wolf I will cast ghost sound it so it sounds like it is coming several miles from the east.

If not, if I think they will be easily distracted I will cast mage hand to jerk the tail of a wolf. I'm hoping this will cause them to think something is behind them and turn to try and chase it into the woods.

If not, if my knowledge indicates that they are the type of creature to be easily frightened I will perform an intimidate check in an effort to scare them away. I'll use ghost sound to produce a thunderclap roar for effect.
intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

If my knowledge indicates none of these I'm going to gibber like a little child, use mage hand to slap the largest fighter (hopefully there is one between and the wolf) away, and ready my bow to let an arrow fire at the first one that moves aggressively.

Have a gander through that list and pick whichever one fits best with my knowledge roll.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

some of us didn't train with weights and swords, and now struggle with our pack packs without fitting in possibly useful items Felixus mutters causticLy. At least we'll have funeral candles on hand for when we don't make it

ready for the night also

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

I can offer my sunrod, which will give us half an hour of the needed time. Can any of us see in the dark and keep watch with darkvision?

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus Aid (survival): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

No spark here, I have a sunrod so I'm no help in lighting a fire.

If his assistance will be a hindrance in the creation of a shelter he will get out his bedroll and huddle with any other less than useful individual.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

If we are looking for shelter there were several fallen trees a little while back, I would guess that crouching in there would shield us from the worst of the storm? It would also be defensivable against any vermin. If vermin went to such effort to lay a trap we may as well try to make clay from poo.

Felixus has no idea about survival, so I'll take advise from someone who knows what they are talking about

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus is pretty sure that whilst the path on the way down has snow, it doesn't have fallen trees, and there were no signs of wolfs or goblins on the way up.

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

I suggest we make with haste back to Swallowfield. It is a mere 3 hours away, the road is clear, safe, and we will be advancing away from the storm. Better than waiting here in the cold

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

fort save: 1d20 + 1 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 9 = 14 [occ]is the dc 19? If so non lethal: 1d6 ⇒ 1[/ooc]

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Wolves? In this storm? Most unusual Felixus says perhaps they will eat those abominations

survival aid other: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

If useful Felixus will cast mage hand to brace and build the new shelter

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

let them die in the cold and the wet Felixus says. Better than us dying trying to find their lair

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

cool, I was attempting to convince them there were more of us, but I'm guessing they now scared and not stopping. Ah well

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will pop his head up shoot the closest one.
to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 and to wound: 1d6 ⇒ 6

I suspect that's a miss.

Felixus will call out to the cowardly beings "Surrender or we will hack you to pieces"

If I know what language they speak I'll use that, else undercommon.
bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
intimidate : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Human Bard (1) | HP9/9 | AC14 T12 FF12 | F+1 R+4 W+3 | CMB +0 CMD +12 | Init +1 Per +5 |

Felixus will just revert to gibbering whilst taking cover. He focuses his attention to create the ghost sound of a charging enemy behind the remaining half goblins.

I'm ceasing my barding performance. I think the two remaining half goblins are likely to crumble now the melee is up close.
