![]() HOORAY! It looked hairy there for a bit. :3 Ember is happy to let her wand be used to heal the woman they've been looking for. She listens, more or less seriously, to the tale of Kassen. But as soon as they're walking out the crypt, she abandons the pretense of solemnity to do a running leap and land atop her brother's back, piggy-back style. "Hi-ho, Cinder! Take me out of here as a conquering hero. I nearly died in that last combat, you have to carry me. I'm so weak now." Back in the town, Ember gives Vigny a cheerful hug. "Thanks for keeping us on our feet! You're a good woman to have around in a pinch. Love to travel with you again, sometime!" Ember turns on Ayo then, seemingly debating whether to dare hugging the serious woman as well. Ultimately she settles for a handshake. "You may have a stick jammed up there and not know what the word 'fun' means, but you're tough as nails and I'd fight at your side anytime. Carry on doing you, Captain." ![]()

Ayo gets hit at the same time, and Ember hisses. "Damn! Ayo, hang in there!" she calls to the eastern woman, and tries again to drop her target. ![]() Once they're across the dangerous section, Ember helps Ayo re-dress in her armor (unless those doors swinging open happened automatically or something), and strides forward to the doors. Her speech on seeing the enemy ahead is less badass than Ayo's. "Hey! More skeletons! One of them talks!" Ember dashes in, vaulting off the stairs in order to try and land feet-first in the ribcage of the closest skeleton-- hopefully crunching bone in the process. ![]() I am totally fun skipping the swarm. "Woah!" Ember says. Clearly she'd been distracted and shaken by the gory vision from the pool. "Hmm. I don't know any way to turn those plates off... maybe I should start studying that kinda thing." She frowns. "Maybe we could jump across them? Wonder what they do." Can anyone in the group not make a DC 10 Acrobatics if you take 10 and have the running start? On my brief look at everyone's sheets it seems like we're all capable of pulling that off-- Ayo can if she takes her armor off. But someone speak up if I have it wrong. She mimes for quiet with a finger held to her lips, then points upward. Ember tries to tip forward, seeing no purpose to disturb the critters if they've managed to ignore the ruckus so far. Ember nods at her brother taking the potion-- he's come too close to death several times for her liking in the last few days. She peers around the room, looking at the standing water with distaste and hoping they don't need anything that happens to be at the bottom of the pool. She makes a face at her reflection. "How much you wanna bet there's some slimy leeches in there?" she stage-whispers to the others. ![]()

She swallows, tensing to see if she's about to puke or die, before hurrying on to the next chamber. (Took the liberty of moving us all to #18 on the map) Still uncertainly looking down at her gut to see if the water is about to make her ill, Ember peers into this catacombs doubtfully. "Smells like somethin' curled up and died in here, alright," she mutters. "Eyes sharp, folks." She moves in, intending to follow the wall around until it reveals either dead ends or another passage.
