Fallon Del'Roy has never met his father. That's not to say that he hasn't been a part of his life. Afterall, his mother receives a coin purse every month to cover any expenses he may create. It's a strange relationship, but it works for Fallon.
One month the coin purse was accompanied by a letter. It included directions that Fallon was to immediately travel to Korvosa and attend the Acadamae to become a war mage to help in the fight against Molthune. Fallon would have preferred to stay at home in Tamran, but his mother tells him that there's no arguing with a man like his father.
So Korvosa it was. The Acadamea was a bit… strict for Fallon. He soon learned that there was a second academy in Korvosa, the Theumanexus College, and its pace seemed much more reasonable to Fallon. Though he has the talent, Fallon lacks commitment or any real drive. Despite an unfortunate, and inexplicable inability to conjure fire, he was able to graduate from the College and returned to Nirmathas.
En route back to Tamran, Fallon went through something of an existential crisis (where he believed if he went to the frontline he would cease to exist, and to him this was a crisis). One evening Fallon slipped away from the caravan he was travelling with, and made his way to Phaendar. This town was small enough that he could hide away from his family and responsibilities, but big enough to ensure he always had plenty to drink. He makes a living as a Spellmonger, using his magic to help with the mundane duties found around town. The lifestyle suits him, as he can sleep most of the day, drink most of the night, and still have enough money to do both.
