Madness - Granted Powers:
Vision of Madness (Sp): You can give a creature a vision of madness as a melee touch attack. Choose one of the following: attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks. The target receives a bonus to the chosen rolls equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum +1) and a penalty to the other two types of rolls equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum –1). This effect fades after 3 rounds. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Ezekiel Spengler is a tall athletic-looking young man who looks just shy of entering middle years due to his receding hairline, sunken cheeks and deep worry-lines. He developed his strength working as a dock-hand on the piers at Kassen. His pale face is drawn and angular with dark deep-set eyes and his long black hair is kept back in a ponytail. Although his demeanor gives the impression of stiffness his movements are surprisingly nimble and steady.
Ezekiel uses his job at the docks to preach the dogma of Groetus to those who disembark from arriving ships. Few are inclined to listen, Father Rantal Prasst being the least of them, but this does nothing to diminish his fervent belief in the God of the End Times. Ezekiel is certain that Groetus fully intends to bring about the end of the world because it is a failure. Aroden's death and the subsequent failing of all major prophecies prove that mortals are hopelessly unfit to survive. That they have now reached out to unworthy beings like devils and the Dark Tapestry is further evidence that mortals deserve to be destroyed. Groetus holds that the other gods are failures as well. Obviously, had Pharasma been worthy then Urgathoa would never have reached divinity and the undead would not walk again in contravention to the principle that all things must end. The Starstone is a blasphemy and so are the mortals that it raised to godhood. In the End all this will be shown.
Ezekiel interprets many everyday events as signs from his god and records them in a small book that he carries with him. Recently, he saw a blacksmith who was unable to light his forge and believes this to presage some event of importance. In truth, Ezekiel envisions himself playing a central role in preparing the world for Groetus's triumph and in any afterlife to follow, but he rarely admits his grand ambitions to himself. Instead, he tells himself that he is nothing more than a humble servant of the greatest deity.
His proselytizing has not gone unnoticed by the foreman of the docks. As a result, Ezekiel has been chosen less often in the morning shape-ups than he had been in the past. This has not escaped his notice and Ezekiel is aware that he might well need to find a new way to support himself. The young prophet of doom is used to being an outcast in Kassen and has the loss of his job would be just another burden among the many.
But for now he has enough money to stay at better accommodations than the dross-house and some evenings he can find a small but willing audience for his sermons. Cygar Anravis has sat for a few evenings but has yet to accept Ezekiel's offers of conversation. The mysterious stranger has only smiled politely and given the cleric the impression that he knows something that Ezekiel would like to know.

Why would a doom-sayer go adventuring? Does he want to spread the word of Groetus? More than likely he has abandoned it as a waste of time and decided to explore the world to see what is wrong with it and, by doing so, expand his understanding of the will of Groteus. But doesn't this leave him without goals and plans? Consider having him believe that any efforts to radically change the state of the world or to build something of great scale is an affront to Groetus. The designers of these plans know the world will end yet they continue in their efforts to establish something permanent. Plans to conquer or destroy must be defeated so that mortals understand that only Groetus can determine the time for ending all things. Ezekiel would be determined to destroy such plans in order to usher in the End Times.
Consider the flagellant archetype. If so then he believes that pain focuses the mind on oblivion and that enduring pain one comes close to the experience of death and extinction. If he is a flagellant he will likely have a spiked chain but will not use if for self-flagellation. Instead, he will inflict suffering on himself by other means.
Consider the catastrophe subdomain of destruction.
For Shattered Star: Ezekiel was approached by a man who occasionally attended his sermons. The man was a recruiter for the Pathfinders and enticed Ezekiel into joining through promises of esoteric knowledge.
Ezekiel would view the reassembly of the Sihedron as an attempt to restore that which is properly in a state of ruin. Therefore, it must be opposed.
