Some of the older module/Adventure paths didn't have layers on the maps - so no unlabeling. Don't know if that the case with Crucible of Chaos.
Sadly it is the case with Crucible of Chaos.

Ah, well, thanks tho.

I can usually extract the images from the pdf's without the DM / test layer, but can only extract the Valley of Ulduvai map with labels.

I'd like to get an unlabelled image to load into MapTools to give my players an overhead map.

Has anyone had any luck in extracting an unlabeled map? Any hints?

(I use Adobe Acrobat 8.2, use Select Tool, and paste to Paint. I tried the same technique with an old Second Darkness module and got the unlabelled map.)

I'm looking for a module to use for a ruined keep that was the base of a 'dragonborn' clan. (We do play PF, the dragonborn are just flavor.) A dragonborn NPC will hire the party to reclaim his ancestral holding.

I don't mind tweaking or changing encounters at all. I'm mostly looking for a good layout / good map area. (We use Maptool as our game table.)

Ideally, it would have caves below it that housed dragons (or some such mount creature). The area around the keep would be un-populated.

Party is a strong 3 member party, currently lvl 8. (40pt build, we play no healing in combat.)

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, I'll pass the info along to our DM.

At our newly built exotic craftsman, we've only managed to 'create' items of low gp value. Is there an official method of clearing these from the building slot?

Our confusion is resulting from the text in the Income Phase Step 3 - Sell Valuable Items; "You can attempt to sell items that cost more than 4,000gp through your city's markets to bolster you kindom's Treasury).

The players bought the first few items, but after a few turns this is going to get quite costly (we've spent about 700gp so far).

PS... I did do a quick search of the forums and know this question has come up before. I apologize for asking again but since I'm a player I didn't want to read thru the mega thread and hit spoilers.

This is great, thanks very much for providing it for us!

Thanks all, we have been successful thanks to your help!

We had to uninstall Adobe Reader 9.0, reinstall AR 8.2, and then we were able to use select tools and Cntl click. (XP sp3)

The advice was very much appreciated, thanks again.

My DM is trying to extract the exploratory map on pg. 14 without the DM icons and text to give to us PC's. Can anyone help? I know it has something to do with the layers, but I can't seem to get only the layer(s) that I want.

Alternately, is there another source for a PC friendly version of this map?

NOTE: I'm actually a player and haven't read the adventure. We run using Maptools and I usually help to build and load the maps.

It shouldn't take too much effort to get to the point where that ride check an automatic success (since natural 1's aren't an auto-fail), but don't forget to take your Armor Check penalty into account.
He's a Cavalier. ACP doesn't apply to his Ride checks on his mount.
Oh, nice. I haven't read up on the class in detail yet.

Awesome, thanks!

I'm creating an elven cavalier and will be using an elven curve blade. Given that it's a two handed weapon, can it be used while mounted?

Do you have the various character artwork posted anywhere on your website? Meaning, full page artwork of the various characters and enemies from your publications or full layout versions of the avatars.

(No nefarious purpose, just looking for PC / NPC artwork to use in our web game.)
