I am posting to let everyone know that I need to drop out. It has been a struggle to stay active and participate, but the adventure seems to require a lot of sleuthing and interaction, and my work and home life is jam packed with things that are dragging my from me PBP worlds. I am sorry to abandon the group, but at least you can replace me with someone more active and perhaps useful in what seems a little more Urban environment.
Perhaps faced with the reality of being without Roguk, Essa decides to strike out on her own with her companion. She would not return to Kassen, but probably just disappear into the wilds.
It was great adventuring with you all, and thank GM Eschie for the fun adventures.

Hey sorry I have been out of touch a little (well, a lot ). very busy with work, and was in training for a week, and now I will be out of the country over the holidays and cannot probably post much if any until after new years. I will try to get Essa and Roguk levelled by then. Feel free to bot me as needed.

Essa swigs down the rest of her hard cider and looks around vaguely for more. Gosh it was tasty.

Essa drinks her cider and reverts a little to her former less talkative self, the sensory overload of the inn and everyone talking and not being able to hear what people are saying makes her uneasy. She also sees Roguk in the corner bored and alternating between fiddling with a mug he stole and trying to steal food from people.

Somewhat overwhelmed by their task and the chaos of the city and trying to find some clues, Essa follows the chat, but isn't able to offer anything particularly intelligent, and just grunts and nods when the consensus seems to be to check out the temple.

Essa just stood there as everyone else did the talking. She was confused about the stories, but then understands Lenna's motives. When the air is cleared, she smiles to no on in general and scritches Roguk's hairy head as they change topics to their reason for being here.

Essa grabs the man's hand and shakes it vigorously, perhaps a little to much so. "Ok Cap'n. We will take care of these guys." Essa lifts one of the men by the scruff of his shirt and throws him over her shoulder.

"Well, I was busy helping you get your armor on! I don't recall you offering to help me!" Essa pokes Tane in the chest before stomping below decks to don her hide shirt. Roguk looks at Tane with a sort of blank expression before wandering off to climb up the ship's mast and get into mischief.

Essa calms down after the fight is over, the wildness leaving her eyes. "Sorry..being attacked brought back memories of the Crypt and what we went through there. Also, it made me mad, that they pirates would prey on us. " She looks down at the crushed form of the pirate. "I guess we should clean up or figure out what to do with them." Essa turns to drag the pirate bodies to the side, forgetting she is still naked. Roguk plays with a limp pirate arm, grunting inqusitively.

Essa swings her club mightily, laying into another pirate with a crazed look in her eyes as the flames from her club play across the deck and over her face and the combat.

After helping Tane, Essa ignores her own armor, and instead grabs her giant club, casting shillelagh, and tugs on Roguk as they move with the others to the deck.

Essa sits quietly looking over the edge of the boat as night rolls in. The floating head was disturbing, and she pondered the life of the man to whom it belonged, and how possible somewhere was a wife missing him. Either that or he ate her..
Roguk rolls around in some rope haplessly entangling himself, before Essa frees him, and then he pesters the helmsman, grabbing at the wheel as a toy, before Essa takes him away for sleeping distracting him with an apple.

Hugging Malya back, "Are you ok? You are covered in frog spit." Looking down at her own soaked and mud covered body, she shrugged and dove into the water to rinse off before the boat got on its way.

Essa leaps off the boat into the water and mud to push with all her strength to get the boat free.

Essa rouses herself from her early morning meditation, during which she sometimes fell back asleep, "Wha?" Pulling the cover off her club, to illuminate things better, she stood and listened. She grabbed her shirt, tugging it on and made her way to the deck, prodding Roguk awake. She peers quizzically at the others who were also rousing.
On deck, she seeks out whoever is piloting the boat at these wee hours, "What was that?"
