male human slayer 3
hgt: 6’0 wgt: 160 lbs
eyes: blue
hair: dark brown
age: 22
Appearance:
Erik is a tall man, athletic of build, who already bears the scars of many battles, which he will display with pride if drunk enough. His clothes speak of high standing among the Danes. He keeps his dark beard trimmed short and his fine armor and two hand-axes, a gift from his father the Baron of Roskilde for his bravery in battle, in immaculate condition. On his back is strung a composite longbow, and his axes hang at his belt, while he keeps a dagger in his boot.
Background:
Born to a long line of warriors serving in the King's name, Erik and his brothers, sons of the Baron of Roskilde, fought in any battle their liege sent his army to. No mere foot soldiers, they expected to be granted a knightly order for their service eventually. Erik became particularly skilled with the hand-axes given to him by his father, and gained the notice of a Greve, who saw fit to train him for more specific targets in battle.
Proud and plain-spoken, but with a ready laugh and an open mind, Erik found the writings of Martin Luther compelling - it made no sense to him that the poor would suffer Purgatory longer than the rich, for all that he was not poor himself. His sense of justice led him to abandon the Catholic faith for this new one, though he did not speak of it openly, only among those nobles he knew shared his beliefs.
When one of his older brothers married a Frenchwoman, he came along as part of their honor guard. Thinking to see the countryside while he was there, and perhaps famous Paris, he took leave of the ended wedding party to wander on his own.
