Thirst (Blood Dependency) (-2RP) User must drink the blood of a living creature once a day or suffer 1 point of Strength and Constitution Drain per day. If he has not yet fed for the day he must make a DC 15 Will save to resist feeding at the sight of blood. The DC goes up by 1 each round.

Blade was born Eric Brooks in a brothel in the city of Escadar. His mother was having complications and needed aid. One of the patrons overheard some of the commotion and offered his services as a doctor. This Patron was Deacon Frost. Frost was a vampire and instead of helping young Tara he feasted on her blood. The other prostitutes managed to drive Frost off with some torches before he could also kill the boy.

A couple nights passed when another stranger came wondering into the brothel. This one was looking for information more than a good time. He asked some of the girls about a man that met Frost’s description. They were hesitant at first but soon told the man of the encounter. Curious the stranger asked to see the child. It took some more convincing, but the child was brought to him. The stranger proceeded to examine the boy and cast some incantations over him. “This boy is special. I’m afraid you ladies won’t be able to provide for him. It seems the man the killed his mother is a vampire. I have been hunting this man. It also appears some of the infection passed along to the boy here. I will take him so that you will not be endangered. Of course I will pay you for your troubles as well.”

The years passed and Eric grew up strong. They now lived in Absalom. Whistler taught him along the way. Eric loved music and became a formidable hand to hand combatant. Whistler also taught him of the history of the vampires and why he hunted them. Once old enough to understand he explained to Eric that it was a vampire that killed his mother. At that moment Eric knew he too was now a hunter and he would hunt the man that killed his mother and avoided Whistler all these years.

Eric started to develop a reputation among the vampires and other hunters. He had an expertise in edge weapons. So much so he inherited the moniker of Blade. It suited him well enough. At this time Blade befriended another hunter by the name of Hannibal King. Soon he and king added yet another member to their little group. Gloria was not only a hunter though. She was Blade’s girlfriend. Blades early victories started to make him cocky. He soon joined up with a street gang called the Bloodshadows.

This gang was headed by a powerful vampire named Lamia. The confrontation with Lamia was deadly. He was stronger than any other Blade had faced. Blade defeated Lamia barely, but it was not without cost. Gloria was killed in the battle. This tragedy only left Blade more determined than ever. He dedicated his life to the complete extermination of Vampires.

Word travelled the city fast. Not long after a man came knocking one day. Blade, Hannibal and Whistler all met with the man. ”I am Steve Ditko, the people of Abaalom call me Dr. Strange. I hear you like to hunt vampires. They can be a nuisance indeed. I am working on a spell. I call it the Montesi Formula. It will kill all vampires on this plane. I also understand you are looking for a vampire by the name of Frost. Well it seems fate brought us together. My sources tell me Frost is in Geb. There is also an artifact there that I need to cast the spell. Now surely you have heard of Geb. It is the nation of the undead. I believe both Frost and the item I need is in Graydirge. Will you help me to end the suffering these creatures cause?”

Blade stared at the doctor for a moment before answering. Geb huh? Thought that place was a myth… He looks to Whistler. Kill all them huh. Seems they must have done you wrong at some time as well. I guess we can pick this item up for you. You were nice enough to give us the lead on Frost. Tell the old man here about the item. Hannibal and I will go gather what we need for the trip. They left the next day for the nation of Geb.

Finding and procuring the artifact was easy enough. It was Frost that caused problems for them yet again. Seems Blade’s reputation had even made it to Geb at least among some of the power players in the nation. Frost caught wind of them coming. With this information he prepared a little surprise for the Nightstalkers. While Blade and Hannibal retrieved the artifact it seems Frost came and took Whistler. While a another team headed to intercept Blade and Hannibal. The team was headed by a vampire named Morbious. Morbious was not a normal vampire. He was created through lab experimentation. Blade normally immune to the bite and drain of vampires was not against Morbious. Blade got bitten durring the battle, but they were able to get away with dimension door scroll. No match to take on a nation they did only what they could. They returned to Absalom with the artifact. Blade now is looking for Dr. Strange hoping he can help to locate Whistler.

Blade is a dark, sometimes brooding, self motivated man. He is abrasive and only lets in those that can manage to stay close long enough. His word is his bond, and he tries to do good by people. Protecting them from things they don't even know about. His focus now is on finding his mentor and friend. And as alwasy his personal crusade against Vampires.
