DESCRIPTION
Erelle appears as a fairly pretty woman with long dark hair and brown eyes. She generally keeps her hair neat and tied back. Her garb is rather practical and suited to travelling, consisting of a warm woollen dress, well-worn leather boots and a hooded cloak. Perhaps unusually, her dress has leather patches sewn over the shoulders. The reason for this is apparent when her familiar, Serne is close by, as the small barn owl has a tendancy to perch on her shoulder.
The wizard also carries a backpack and a staff, with a belt pouch fastened around her waist.

BACKGROUND

Erelle was born in the town of Azurestone to a large farming family. Her early childhood was, for the most part, uneventful. However, even from this young age, Erelle showed an interest in reading and learning. In particular, she sought stories and tales from far-off places, eagerly awaiting the arrival of out-of-town merchants to see if they had any new books or stories to tell. One day, one of the merchants brought a curious book indeed - a wizard's spellbook. The book contained only two cantrips, but it didn't stop Erelle from spending all the coins she had to buy it from the merchant. She couldn't understand the strange, arcane language that the book was written in, but that spurred her curiousity even more.

She begged her parents to be allowed to learn wizardry instead of how to run the farm - her brothers and sisters had shown far more aptitude for farming life than she did - and eventually her family agreed reluctantly to scrape together the money to send Erelle away to be taught. In return, Erelle promised not to waste the opportunity she had been given, and would work hard to be successful in the arcane arts - a promise that she did indeed keep.

After years of hard study and work under her teacher, Erelle learned all that her tutor could teach her. However, she still sought to learn more - not just about magic, but about the world as well. So, she set off to travel from town to town, never staying in one place for very long.

Now, she is returning to her hometown for the first time in several years, intending on visiting her family and showing them that she kept her promise and has become a fully-fledged practitioner or magic.
