About Enrico Marcellano

Appearance:

30 years old, 5’6”, 120 lbs., Blue Eyes, Brown Hair

Enrico is short and slight but he walks with the confidence of a much larger man. He keeps his hair cropped short and his face clean-shaven, and he dresses for comfort. To that end his clothing and gear are well-used but also well-maintained. He doesn't have many worldly possessions, a choice he has made consciously. Enrico has nothing, and no one, to tie him down--he can travel at a moment's notice.

Background/Personality:

Enrico grew up outside of Oppara with his two loving parents and an older sister that he revered. His life was pleasant, though demanding in his chores. One day as he played by the river Porthmos, practicing his footwork and “swordfighting” with a stick and imagining he was one of the fabled Lion Blades, his life changed forever. The boy lost his footing and fell into the river, which carried him downstream rapidly. Enrico’s sister Rosanna jumped in to save him, pushing him to shore before she was swept away by the current.

After that day, young Enrico believed he could see blame in his parents’ eyes for what happened, but in truth it was his own sense of overwhelming guilt for which he could never forgive himself. He couldn’t bring himself to face them, and he couldn’t stay and relive that fateful day, so the young man left home at an early age and focused on his studies, both martial and academic.

Enrico can be haughty and dismissive at times, particularly if he thinks someone is not worthy of his respect. Once someone has proven their worth, however, he is capable of acknowledging that and working with them towards a common goal.
