"Extract and deliver:: I will examine it myself::"

"Bring the biological matter aboard and examine it in full:: Continue the patrol route and head back to the planet::"

Sarvus continues to man the Captain's Throne uneasily but steadily.

Apparently I haven't had the chance to train Medicae yet or I'd examine it myself.

I know the 19 steps for creating a Space Marine but I can't honestly tell you the state of forensic science in the 41st millennium. Enginehouse?

"Bring it aboard and begin positive identification::"

Interesting::

"It would seem there was a disagreement about the meeting:: Theories::"

Or President Laura Roslin is about.

Nothing you're doing at all, I'm Enemy (Ecclesiarchy) so it's 100% not personal.

"Agreed and so ordered 010011100110000101110110011010010110011101100001011101000110111101110010::"

Within the confines of his hood Sarvus examines the Seneschal. If he still had a mouth it would be curled in a sneer, but the vox-grill in it's place betrays no such thought.

Such is my purpose in sending expendable crewmen instead of the whole ship::

"Our scanners would have found such:: We will exercise full caution however: I have no need for the Captain's wrath::"

"You are correct 010011100110000101110110011010010110011101100001011101000110111101110010001 000000100111001101111011100110111010001110010011000010111011001101001:: Launch a shuttle to recover the corpse:: Are you able to ascertain the race of the corpse 010011100110000101110110011010010110011101100001011101000110111101110010: will we need containment measures::"

I am? Crap. Uh...everybody look busy and move in a generally out to space direction, yeah that's it.

Enginseer Prime Sarvus moves to the command throne and hesitates before it's bulk. With a quick bob of the hood the Tech-Priest ascends to the command throne and allows a heretical thought to cross the remains of his flesh and blood brain.

If I believe in dying gods I would wonder at the parallels::

"What is the current disposition of ships in the system:: Plot a course towards the following coordinates::"

Looking to get Jarrion in range of what he needs without drawing too much attention, attempting to make it look like a survey of the system.

Sarvus will be joining Jarrion if he has time after meeting with the Magos, otherwise the council. I'd like to continue my pursuit of this strange vessel.

21 out of 61 for me, so five total successes plus a fate point for 6 total. 29 out of 70 for the Magos, so five total successes. I should (hopefully) be good either way.

Captain Tristan Casmirre wrote:
This is still the same day you broke in and we went to the Gala, your not due to see the Magos until tomorrow.

I have time but Sarvus doesn't want to eat in front of the rest of the crew, feeling that such weak needs as eating and sleeping should be hidden. I should've noted but this request will occur before any forwarding to the next scene so if there's still discussion to be had Sarvus will be there.

"I must report to the Magos:: Will inquire into disposition of Tech::"

Analysis of liquid suggests 'alcohol': a substance used by officials to influence policy and young people to procreate:: Unnecessary chemical: rejected for system use::

Sarvus will quietly stand to the side after having given his report. Seeing the informal air of the discussion but aware of the Captain's stern tendencies, he awaits a break in the conversation.

"Permission to leave: Captain::"

I require protein::

"Lord Captain: success:: Imperial-pattern transport ship: identification Spectre: exited the warp three months ago: anchor for one week:: One ship passed within hailing range: 010000110110111101101101011011010110000101101110011001000110010101110010001 000000101001001100101011110010110111001101111011011000110010000100111011100 11 flagship defence monitor:: No change of course: did not hail: within detection range::"

Fate point spent for extra success.

Interesting:: Information restored:: Factor in Captain's plans::

Having gained the information Sarvus will exit the chamber and gather Lucius before making his way back to the others.

GM:

I will try to hide it. I'd rather not kill any guards if I can avoid it, we're going to need them all. If the Magos finds out then hopefully I'll be safely aboard the ship by then.

Sarvus nods his head, all but imperceptible within the confines of his robe. Moving in to the data vault he will access the cogitators.

Tech Use 61 1d100 ⇒ 21

Enginehouse:

That should be high enough for what I want. My plan is to access a lot of data that I am authorized for and then secretly access the data I really want. When I present my copy to the Magos I will exclude that unauthorized data. I'm hoping with 4 DoS that I can do all this without alerting the Skitarri.

Seeing Lucius is ready to descend, Sarvus heads down to the skitarri. Standing before the imperiously he waits for them to acknowledge him and open the door to the data vault.

"My rank will grant us access:: Disguising what we access will be more difficult:: I will convince the machine spirits of the vault to assist us with the Skitarri: and your weapon will be necessary if I fail::"

Based on my knowledge rolls, my current plan is to access the vault using my authority. At this point I have two options. I can extract the data I want, which will be unauthorized, and then shock the Skitarri using the power supply. I can attempt to gain authorization from the Magos. Do I know how difficult either option would be?

Sarvus turns to Lucius.

"That uniform is no longer required:: There will be monitors in the vault: we do not wish to have you recorded in it::"

Sarvus moves over to the cogitator and attempts to access the system without setting off any alarms.

Sarvus speaks briefly to the machine spirit.

Is there an entrance that is more likely to be guarded by a machine that Sarvus could bypass? If not he will make for the entrance least likely to draw attention to himself.

Private Calith must check in now::

Sarvus finishing stuffing the body and then moves back to the path, waiting for Lucius to adjust his uniform and bluff his way past the communications check.

We will need a story to explain this::

Sarvus hands the vox bead to Lucius and takes the hammer and hell-gun, carrying and hiding them respectively.

You are Private Calith::

We must remove the body from the grounds::

Sarvus drags the body of Private Calith into the moat while Lucius dons his uniform. He will look around for a spot to wedge him so he will not be found for a while.

This is going to end so badly, all so we can learn the schedule of some random ship. It's probably just the Imperial Postman dropping off 1.5 tons of junk mail.

Sarvus lets out a mechanical whine that could be a sigh.

I must plan more carefully:: I have failed this man::

Sarvus leans over, servos working as his hand extends and plucks the vox-bead from the man's ear. Sarvus listens in on the conversation, ignoring the guard bleeding to death at his feet.

Figured my bolter would be even louder. My goal is to get through the gate and hit him with my power axe.

Robes of Office:: Affirmative:: Boltgun:: Affirmative:: Preparations complete::

Sarvus dresses himself in his finest robes and makes sure his Boltgun is shined and ceremonial looking. Looking in the mirror he wonders at the man under the robes. So little remains, and yet he is going to extraordinary lengths to preserve not data, but human life.

He will prepare to enter the Data Vault by pulling rank. Trusting that Mechanicum business will remain internal and that the true loyalties of the Tech-Priests on this rock are to the Machine God and not the local Governor, any breach will be handled internally. Or so he hopes.

Sarvus would prefer to go for the Data Vault. Socializing is necessary but an anomaly in data would have him drawing Bolter to get access to the missing information if necessary.

I agree with SoS, I post to let everybody know I'm keeping up, but I have no problem not being in the spotlight all the time. This gala sounds like a perfect opportunity to mix with my own "group" and influence them. I'll also want to break into the data vault and get that information on the deleted ship.

I am ok with either option. As you have noted building a character that doesn't say much really leaves me with...well, very little to say.

I'll put that on my list to buy, glad that skill is useful for something.

Ecclesiarchy:: Saints:: If they followed the Dragon as they should we could use logic to solve this::

Sarvus looks around the office for a cogitator connected to the main data vault. Barring that do I have an idea of where such a cogitator would be located?

Mark I sensors indicate the biological is distracted::

With the Commander gone Sarvus will look for a good opportunity to approach the Captain with no chance of being overheard by outsiders.

Very confusing. Many emotions.

Sarvus will focus on the holoprojector table, attempting to gather as much information from it as possible in order to relay it to his Captain later. He will spend extra time gathering information that might be hidden or concealed from the newcomers.

Sarvus awaits the will of the Lord-Captain, oblivious to the protocols and subtle power plays that are occurring around him but aware of the tension laced pheromones in the air.

Sarvus quietly contemplates this information, the whirring of gears audible from within his robe.

They know they need to work together to defeat this threat, but refuse to do so out of pride. Whomever leads this defense will gain great glory if it succeeds. Perhaps these Imperials are not so different from my own Mechanicum colleges.

I will need to procure some of this Ork technology. There may be something useful there that can be incorporated into my plan.

Sarvus begins moving towards Cargo Bay 2. For efficiency's sake he will wait for others to take the same transport through the ship.

"A meeting in the: flesh:: How: inefficient::"

Enginseer Prime Sarvus stands ready for any orders.

Interesting. I should catalog these vessels. If my archives are correct many of them will not be here when this is over.

Fair enough.

After a moment of hissing and popping Sarvus turns to Eli with an audible whirring of gears.
