Emily watches the large man as Danny attempts to use his skills of persuasion to turn the attention from combat. She looks surprised as Monroe jumps forward and after someone his keen senses has picked up on. She darts after the ex-cop hoping that Aximeus can keep Danny safe if the pseudo-giant should pose a threat. Athletics 4d3 - 4 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 3) - 4 = 4 To avoid anything that may impede her following David.
Emily got out of her van and follows along with the others, following Monroe's actions in movement. Loaded for bear the woman tries to remain alert and at Monroe's comments, "The walking dead, joy" she says with sarcasm. And as they near the Garage/side entrance Emily says, "I have some skill at that, if you would rather go with a little more subtlety."
Emily considers for a moment and removes a small pouch of grey cloth and folds it out and removes one of of the small metal items. "This should work. The thief had to get through that lock, and did so with some skill,. Perhaps it will help hone in on the person who took the Fork." Temp Aspect: A Tool of theives
Emily looks to Nathanial in the rear view mirror and answers, "I am up for a little divining tonight. Just tell me where we need to go." The woman watches the road and after some directions to the wizard's apartment drives on, on the watch for any unwanted company. She will take a few unnecessary turns and streets before arriving.
Back at the van... Emily will look to Nathanial and ask, "I am not knowledgeable on the magic stuff, but the link you have from the hair, it doe snot last long does it? Should we try to find who it belongs to, and then attempt to find the driver when he gets off in the morning?" She looks to the rest of the group for the last query.
Emily nods at Aximeus and takes up her phone and texts Danny, 'Heading out now. Are you staying?' She then taps the phone and it rings and she pretends to answer it, "Uh huh... Oh no. Okay, right away." She looks to the others and says in a loud concerned tone, "We need to go Axey, Mom was just taken to the hospital..." With that she takes the large man's hand and heads out after Monroe.
Emily takes out a twenty and places it on the tray, "Please, send our regrets with whatever they are drinking. Let them know that tonight is a special night for Axe and I," she cuddles with Aximeus, "We will see if we cannot play later." She looks up at Axe, "Do not judge too harshly Hon, could always be fun. But tonight, you are all mine..." After the waitress leaves... "Monroe, what are your thoughts? Mistress or driver... If this is a place of Vampires, would the mistress not be a head vampire running the place? She looks to the others as well. ((I am fine with departing... out the back or some such. I will join whomever wants to see the mistress, but I doubt Emily has the mojo to be "that" sociable... Or depart...))
"Vampire Court?" Emily says with some concern. "I am sure it is in there, Grandfather had many dealings with vampires. I will have to sit down and looks through the book more carefully." the woman says in response to Nathanial's remarks. As she watches Danny head off, "I am for meeting with the Mistress of the House, but I am not the most personable person. Danny there seems to be the one who is the smooth talker, but he seems to have his eye on a woman already."
((Okay, thanks... I do not want to spend a fate point for that... )) After quickly skimming through her book and gives a sigh before puting it away for now. "Nothing stands out on this White Court thing. I suppose I will look later when I have time." She smiles at Monroe returns, "You do not have to text back I suppose. But it gets a message to you without being too disturbing. I did not know if you were done down there or not." She looks to Nathanial, "Do we want to meet the woman?" She shurgs, "I mean, will she have anything useful for us?"
Emily listens to Danny and nods. She follows the direction of the man's attention and comments, "You need to be careful as well. She could be a trap waiting to be sprung. All the same... good luck." The woman plays a little more trying to keep up the act before she takes up her blackberry and types out a quick text and sends it to Monroe, "Any luck yet?" She has got it stuck in her head and from her small satchel she carries everywhere she removes a medium sized leather bound book. "Keep a watch for a moment Aximeus, something is bothering me. I cannot place it, but White Court means something..." She flips through looking for White Court. ((Not sure what the monster hunter book would do for me when looking up monster stuff? ))
Emily smiles at Aximeus and leans into him so that she can whisper, "Not the kitchen. The fork we are looking for is a device of torture... and likely something more considering it was stolen." She looks to Danny and Emily grabs his arm... "Well we could all go together... There are always threesomes." She giggles playfully and winks at the young man. She adds to him quietly, "Not to mention, when I asked to have a look around, they wanted to know how I was paying..."
Lore (for White Court knowledge) 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 1) - 7 = 0 Emily takes the accepted card and replies, "Thank you. We will look this over and let you know what we decide shortly." As the large man lifts her up she is thankful to not have to answer the waitress about money matters just yet. Emily continues the act of being a couple and putting on what show the others, "Oooo... Axe, you do like to show me off don't you." Alertness (to look about the establishment) 4d3 - 6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 3) - 6 = 4
Emily slides up to Danny and hangs off his arm for a moment "We just know how to work what we have. Do not hate us because we are beautiful." She laughs in a playful manner and kisses Danny on the cheek. She then leans in close and whispers in a reassuring manner, "You still know how to play the crowds better then most." After several minutes the woman slides over to Aximeus and hangs off the man's arm. "Interesting place. Not what I am into, that is for sure. We are hear to see if we can find out if the fork is here. Seems we have made quite the impression... lets use it." Emily will call over a waitress and puts to the woman, "The big guy and I are interested in seeing what the house has to offer for some pain..." she lets it draw out a few moments and finishes with, "And pleasures." She sips her drink before asking, "Would it be possible to have a look to see what might be our fancy this evening?"
The woman nods to Danny as they step out of the van. "Good to know. Thank you." She takes in several deep breaths and follows along after several of the boys. Emily follows behind Danny. She watches Monroe enter. She checks out what is written out what is on the plaque. ((Investigation 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 3) - 7 = 2)) As Danny flips out the cash, "Thank you, again." She flashes a smile at the large bouncer as she follows the young man into the establishment. (( Athletics 4d3 - 4 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 2) - 4 = 7)) "Lets see what the Toy Box has to offer..." The woman shakes her head and thinks that that is wrong in so many different ways.
At the apparent lack of concern for the fae that have fallen to the ground, other than the trollcicles that is, the woman gives a shurg and stands. She looks about to those present and heads back to the van. In the van, Emily cranks the heater and turns to the others, "That was too much fun." She shivers a bit. She listens vaguely to the others for a moment as she sends out a text to Grandmother "What is Dunn Bull of Cooley? Winter fae involved. Chat soon. ~ EM "Cubing it is... She will follow Danny's instructions. ((Is Nathanial with us?))
Emily shivers from the extreme chill and enters the establishment at the sounds of harm. Seeing the trollicles the woman makes an ewe face and then looks about as the icy fog retreats... Emily will go to the others who have fallen to the floor and attempts to help them from their obvious wounds. She points to one of the nearest fae and in a commanding tone, "Call 911! Tell them have multiple injuries due to cold."
The woman watches as Aximeus heads inside with a determined look. She comments, [/b]"I hope he does not start something[/b] As the cold continues to settle and the ice fog emerges she turns to Monroe, "This is not right... Not here. This kind of weather does not hit Toronto until after the New Year. Especially in the city." As the tendrils of icy fog reach out Emily dodges aside to safety before they can reach her. The already formed ice seems to give the young woman some trouble as she slips. Athletics 4d3 - 4 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 1) - 4 = 1
"Creepy is more like it... and the snow seems rather early this year. Especially here in the city itself. That does not bode well." Emily says to Monroe and Aximeus. She looks to the larger man, "As much as you may want to knock some folks around, just hold off. We need information,Danny will do his thing, and we will be on our way soon. Watch his back and if the s~%! hits the fan, make heads roll. Otherwise, just keep," the woman grins, "Cool. No reason to start anything if we do not have too, right now."
Emily looks to Monroe at his question about Pernilla, "No idea. Last I heard from her was before the party. I called a few times and left messages. Sorry, nothing. And I usually have nothing to to do with Monoc. I will ask around after this, see if any of my contacts have heard anything." Alertness 4d3 - 6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 2) - 6 = 0 "Not too sure... Shape shifters of some sort. Werewolves or some such." the woman says as she leans against the wall close to Monroe to make it appear like they are being close, in the cold.
Emily will mention those watching the bar from the alley... "There seems to be some chilled company watching the establishment... best to watch for, if we need to get out." Emily will nod to Danny, "I am all for talk in this... buy them a few drinks, might make even trolls more... "friendly"." She comments, "We have your back."
Emily is able to find some parking just down the street from the Foggy Dew. As those who chose to take her up on the ride over exit the van she climbs in and pops up the bed area near the back where the more observant might notice an array of weapons. She reaches in and grabs a pack of shot gun shells. She will turn to the others, "Silver and iron shot." She then stows her weapons away and grabs up a long coat and drapes it over her person. She follows the others around and enters the rear establishment. While she has not been too the Foggy Dew, she has heard it mentioned time to time. She takes in the area and notices the group of trolls at the middle of the bar. ((Alertness to notice anything more out of the ordinary then normal... 4d3 - 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 3) - 6 = 3)) Emily whispers to Danny, "What are they supposed to know, again?"
"Wendigo are malevolent cannibalistic spirits of native American mythology that often possess humans. Can be a tad on the nasty side." Emily answers Aximeus. The woman receives a call on her Blackberry and is off into the bookstore and out within a few minutes. "Not too much gained. The woman's phone rings and after a brief conversation she starts the van and is off, "Looks like Danny's found a solid lead on some fae. We will swing by the dinner and pick him up."
Emily and Aximeus make the rounds of her contacts trying to see what information on recent events have stirred up. She will smile while driving to the next stop, "I have been here in the area for, oh, a good three for four years now. I do travel a bit as the monster rear their ugliness. Helped some friends up in northern Quebec with a wendigo problem just this past summer." She drives a little further and parks just in front of a Rogers store on Danforth Ave. She looks to Axeimeus, "I have a friend at the book store behind us, he should be off soon." She then answers a previous question, "My part in all this madness. Guess it is kind of a family thing. I am the thirteenth generation doing this sort of thing. Although most of the hunting was done back in China for the most part. Until the world became a smaller place that is." *** *** *** Of course, "Never Hunt Alone" could easily include baddies too. You have to have two (or more) to the whole matter (just who is the hunter and hunted is always interesting to discover) :) "The Venatori Umbrorum Network" can always throw a wrench in things... Whatever you want to do to further the story!
From the Museum Emily will offer to give anyone who needs one, a ride. Her VW Camper Van colored a modern blackberry pearl while not the most sporty, does run considerably well for it's age. The interior has also been redone and seems to be partially converted into living space for the young woman. On the way to Aximeus's diner in China Town Emily makes a stop at Timmys (Tim Hortons for those not in the know :) ))and picks up a extra large coffee, a BBQ Chicken Wrap for herself, and a big box of Timbits for everyone. She finds a spot and pulls in and joins everyone inside to discuss the evening's events. Sitting within the others she sips her drink and asks Nathanial,"Can you track the owner of the hair that Monroe found at the Egyptian exhibit?" She pulls out a laptop from a small satchel and attempts to look up and information about what happen at the museum, specifically what was taken. She looks to Monroe, "Do you have any police contacts here that might be able to tell us what was taken? At least we could try to put together a list and see what the items have in relation to one another." Emily smiles and gladly takes up Aximeus' offer of company when she heads to deal with her contacts. Emily will be hitting her contacts at what anyone knows what went down at the museum and why. (( Contacts 4d3 - 3 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 1) - 3 = 5 )) Try to see what was taken and what relevance it has to the magical community. (( Contacts 4d3 - 3 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 2) - 3 = 4 )) Once she knows what was taken, she will give Grandmother a call to see if she knows anything as well.
Emily starts out of the exhibit with the others but stops for a moment and walks back and takes up her blackberry and takes a picture of the case and plaque that held the the jar. Catching up to the others she up and asks, "I do not suppose there will be any digital coverage of this evenings events? Might be able to look over things to get a better handle on just what the heck happened at the museum."'

Emily is off the ground with a quick kip up and looks about the room for dangers. Seeing none she turns a burning glare at Nathanial. Anyone who cares to notice can see that it is taking the woman some self restraint from causing the mage some sort of harm at the moment. She hisses out, "What was that?!" She calms herself just a bit and continues, "I hope that you did not know that would happen." She watches the mage who apparently just put the entire group in danger. Not to mention seems confused about the difference of what stepping back and maybe you should leave the room, while I dismantle some spell trap, are. She quickly changes her focus moving to help Monroe up from the ground, "Nice reflexes you got there." She then says something she does not often like to admit that she can use the help of others more often then not, "Thank you." She checks to see how the large bulk of a man has fared as she casts a look over at Danny as she thought she heard the man singing something a moment or two before.
((Well... he said stand back, not leave the room too. Most of us did "stand back" as asked.)) Emily, standing back from the case and watching Nathanial work his magic and start to dispel the illusion and manages to just sense the release of the spiritual attack that races out to bombard all within the room. The woman manages to call out to the mageling, "What the hell did you..." Just before she is taken to the ground by Monroe's quick reflexes. ((Conviction 4d3 - 5 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 2) - 5 = 3))
"Yes, looks like one of those holograms. Some fae can do work like this. I am not too sure about how the alarm was bypassed, but that lock was picked by someone who was well practiced." the woman comments, and looks to Nathanial and backs away from the case. Emily smiles at Aximeus' comment before asking, "Anything else?" She looks at Monroe, "Seems to be a trail of some sort in here. How about out?

"Thanks... Danny, right? Looking pretty good yourself. Yeah, I caught the end of the show. Some nasty looking beasties, too." She remarks. "Sure thing. With tonight's performance, we might be better sticking together or adding a member or two, no?"
Smiles with a nod to David, "As Mr. Monroe has mentioned I am Emily. I heard from Pernilla that something was going on here at the ROM tonight. I appear to have arrived too late to do much about it." The woman moves from the shadowy alcove as the group seems to be forming up and steps towards them, "Good evening Mr. Monroe, Mr. Kaye, nice to see you again." She will nod towards Deirdre, "Miss Harlowe." Standing in front of the group appears to be an Asian version of Alice from Resident Evil, down to the dual kukri sheathed at her sides in dark colored wrappings. Emily stands before many of the group in a confident manner and says, "I was only able to catch the last bit of the altercation, sorry I'm late."
A young woman dressed in dark colors remains in the shadows of an unlit alcove watching the going ons of the evening. ((Burglary (for stealth) 4d3 - 5 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 3) - 5 = 5])) She had been hearing some strange things of late going on in Toronto and that there was going to be an interesting party at the Royal Museum of Ontario. ((Alertness 4d3 - 6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 1) - 6 = 0)) She now watched a motley group look over things before the authorities busted up everything. It was almost time for her to go, but she had noticed a few of the figures were familiar. She will watch for another minute and reveal herself... maybe she can help out. ((Hope the intro works for everyone...)) For David Monroe, Danny Kaye, Deirdre Harlowe: I basically added Emily to the stories that Pernilla was already in. It should be in this avatar's profile. For David ... Emily was in New Orleans and provided David with the info he needed on the shifters... He may have seen her around Toronto since if he had been looking for information. She is known to drive her "Purple" VW van that she lives out of most of the time. For Danny... She was in New Orleans... He probably spotted her at the warehouse were David did not. Might have even warned her that the Alpha was sneaking up on her. The warning switched the tide of the encounter to the Monster Hunter's favor. If he has been looking for information around the Toronto area, he may have crossed paths. She is known to drive her "Purple" VW van that she lives out of most of the time. For Deirdre... You may recognize the girl from some of your concerts. She was always around but was never getting into the music. In the last show were you were shot, you saw her head after your redcap. You got a hospital visit later that it was taken care of, and if you had any further problems to contact her. If there an issue with the above, let me know and we can work on it.

(Thinking decent Lore 3, Scholarship 3, Contacts 3) Background: Where did you come from? Emily was born to a well off family in Hong Kong while still under British rule. Both her parents worked hard for in Li & Fung. Emily was the youngest of three children. Emily grew up without seeing much of her parents. She did not have to want for much as they would attempt to buy her love. Emily’s Grandfather, Renshu, was the only real positive influence that she had. He came around when he could but was often away on business. In her teens Emily was sneaking in late in the evening from a party. As she entered the family’s home, she immediately felt that something was off. Her first sight was her older brother sprawled on the floor. She wanted to scream but a large bang in the room made her hold her shock. She quickly ducked into a side room. Several dark shapes move by in the hall. One stopped a moment and peered into the darkness of the room where Emily was not hiding. After several tense moments the shape continued on, departing the home. Continuing on in the house Emily found her sister and parents also dead. Following her Grandfather’s instructions she fled the home to an arrange location, called him, and waited. Renshu explained to his granddaughter of the organization that he an many others were associated with, the Venatori Umbrorum over the last several hundred years. The attack on the family was not only revenge on Renshu, but for what they learned and were about to report of Li & Fung, which had was in the control of the Jade Court of Vampires. They made they mark known and had hopped to cease the family’s monster slaying days. The next few years while Emily grew up in her new home in Canada she was taught how to defend herself with an array of weapons. She also learned of the many dangers that actually existed. Upon reaching eighteen, she inducted into the Ventario Umbrorum. Aspect: The Venatori Umbrorum Network The Story: What was your first adventure?
Over the years Emily has built up many contacts both mundane and much more supernatural. Her sources had a scoop for some power First Nations artifacts stolen. She has able to pass the information on to a contact with Monoc Securities. She also received more information a few days after of the shifters that had the artifacts, but could not get in touch with her contact. Kenshu say this as an opportunity for Emily to make her own decisions, he took her aside at the airport before she departed for New Orleans, and gave her a small book bound in the leather of some strange beastie. Within, was centuries worth of information that the had been passed from generation to generation of monsters and how to effectively hunt and slay, or at the least defeat them. Emily was off to New Orleans and arrived on one of the last flights just as Hurricane Katrina was to hit the city. Through some contacts she was able to get in touch with a police officer, David Monroe. She was able to give him information that would lean him to the shifters and their dark ritual. Emily tagged along on her own and was able to help slay the lead alpha was attempting to flee out the back as he let his fellows take on a small force arrayed against them. The small sawed off shotgun proved most valuable. Not waiting for any lime light of her kill, she departed and left the others to gather what was they came for. Emily had heard through her contacts that something nasty was going to happen at a local event that had a band by the name of Blood of the Witch playing. The contact did not know exactly what was happening, but knew that the fae were involved. Arriving she joined the many others listening to the band when all hell broke loose. Her Monoc contact came running through and attacked the bouncers who turned out to be trolls and some redcap attempted to cause some trouble. There was a gun shot and a terrible scream and the nasty little beast was horribly wounded and turned and ran. The chase for Emily was on. She got in her old VW Camper Van colored a modern blackberry pearl. She tailed the beastie to it’s lair and was able to put the creature down, never to harm another mortal. Aspect: Thrill of the Chase (Hunt) Guest Star Redux: Who Else’s Path Have You Crossed?
At hearing that several of her contacts were heading into a den of shifters, Emily tagged along in the shadows to watch their backs. Lucky she did as she spotted the alpha shifter in an off room watching a trio taking on his kin. Readying to strike a her new cop friend, David Monroe, Emily let loose and blasted the alpha with two shotgun blasts. The alpha only seemed incapacitated but not out, Emily closed for her first solo kill. Looking at the beast and knowing what he intended, Emily took out one of blades and ended it’s life.
