Vigilante Identity

Personality, likes and dislikes:

Appearance:
Eliona Merissial is an attractive young woman who always has a calculating glint in her mismatched eyes. She stands at 5"6, and weighs 117lb; her lithe and lean figure moves with deliberate grace and poise. She has two distinctly coloured eyes, one a copper-amber and the other an emerald green.

When conducting 'business' she prefers practical hard-wearing leather trousers and a basic blouse, not easy to catch or leave evidence behind; Eliona will always cover her face whilst conducting business, so as not to be recognised.

More socially, she relishes dressing up for an occasion, a habit for which she got used to growing up, and even though she more recently has felt intense guilt on these indulgent social gatherings, she cannot help enjoying the event in a luxurious dress and heels. Her ebony waves cascade down her shoulders, often accented with an accessory or two.

Background:
As the third child of the Merrisial family, Amber always knew a life of comfort and relative ease. School at Lady Docur’s finishing school was challenging, but her siblings were supportive, her father loved her and her little oddities. He would tell her it was just quirky that she had one green eye and one amber and the fact that her mother would never be alone with her in a room was a minor quibble, easily ignored in the happy bubble of a privileged childhood, although they always left a quiet, nagging hole in her heart.

Then her mother died and two days later Amber’s father called her into his study and her world was turned upside down. Finding out that she was not, in fact, her mother’s daughter made all the pieces fall into place and her fathers reassurances that she was still his daughter and that he didn’t love her any less didn’t soften the blow one bit.
Amber turned from a golden child to a nuisance, ignoring lessons, shouting at her friends and refusing to eat with or even be in the same room as her father.
It was the intervention of her dance teacher at Lady Docur’s the ironically named Master ‘Heavy’ Burden that turned things around. One day, without warning Amber found herself in a part of the school she had never seen before – the Lacunaefex gave her training, purpose and the meaning that she had desperately been seeking. Amber found she had a talent for much of what the Lacunaefex taught and upon graduation stayed in close contact with Lady Docur, rather than drifting away as most of her noble born pupils did.

Despite these connections, Amber was still beginning to feel aimless when Barzallai Thrune came and everything changed. She would often find herself crashing a party or two to “relieve” some art or valuable antiquity to fence; giving a lot of the money to worthwhile “causes”, but this wasn’t enough.

The Night of Ashes spurred Amber to action and she took to the streets, armed with a bow and a lot of pent up aggression. This was the night she managed to save Declan from the Dottari for the first time (this is not the same way he tells the story). At first, it was a violent form of therapy but Amber soon came to enjoy her work, protecting the Greens from the Dottari, and their hired thugs, the Chelish Citizens Group, regularly saving Declan when they run across each other.

As rumours have begun to spread about the famed Silver Ravens, Amber decided that she needed a name of her own, and so the Emerald Rose was born, leaving mocking flowers in the pockets of every thug she defeated, or ‘wrongly-owned’ art piece she re-patriated.
