Eli came to Castletown on an recent boat from Alodoan in order to work for the Order of Dydx. During his first assignment, he accidentally started a fire, burning one of Lord Anticus' properties. Eli hasn't ever actually told anyone the details of the fire, he simply says "it's complicated." Either way, he's been repaying his debt to Lord Anticus for the past 6 months, and he's hoping to shorten his duty by working hard. He's fiercely loyal out of duty because he is dedicated to absolute law and justice. He'll whatever it takes to get the job done, and his talents are best suited to chasing fugitives. After all, he was a bounty hunter back home.
Eli is extremely serious, often to a fault. He doesn't care for pleasantries and small talk, and he's not interested in how folks "feel." He's just after the results. Don't bother him, don't get in his way.

BACKGROUND
Eric is a large, quiet Aladoan Sheepdog (German Shepherd) that Eli bought off of a later invading force. Eric is actually a girl (also a long story), but wouldn't answer to any other name. She's well-trained, but doesn't participate in any fighting, for reasons that Eli probably knows, but, once again, doesn't wish to share.
