About Elgannas
In 4445 AR, the young Telandia Edasseril was crowned Queen of all elves, and according to ancient elvish tradition, all infants born to elves over the prior year were collected together and gifted as servants to the new Queen. Of course, not every elf parent complied, though all elves who remained in Kyonin were made to comply. A total of 732 servants were gifted to the new queen, 40 of whom were from the capital city of Iadara.
One of those infants was given the name Annorhauglithraugrogion Orbeldaern, meaning "Male child (who was) found at the great gate/door before noon on Toilday (Tuesday), wrapped in soft red-and-brown blankets inside a wooden cradle."
As Queen Eddaseril grew, and brought reform to the elvish royal traditions, she began the process of releasing those indentured servants who chose to leave. Annorhauglithraugrogion Orbeldaern asked to leave the Queen's service in 4606 at age 162, aiming to visit Absalom and help the humans who had just lost Aroden.
As a final boon Queen Telandia Edasseril gave Annorhauglithraugrogion Orbeldaern the much easier to pronounce name Elgannas, meaning seagoing teacher.
